https://simpleflying.com/airbus-beluga-xl-passenger-capacity-analysis/ Beluga passenger airliner? 1200 pax on an 'airliner' version of a Beluga? Well that's fine, if the passengers are all under eight, and travelling without luggage. I think 'simplistic-flying' need to look at weight as well as vol...

Re: Your Favourite UK Airshow Venue

Speaking of smaller venues, I'd suggest that Ragley Hall would take some beating. The intimate garden-party atmosphere, and the natural amphitheatre of the terrain - it's just a very pleasant place to watch planes....

Don't let it bother you Daz; there are very many more people on here who are happy to read sociable, easy to understand posts like yours, than the few who have a need to pick up on grammatical details. Genuine question, would people still be saying that if the display wasn’t accompanied by Enya? (Emotions can play a big part in decision making). For the record I thought it was a stunning routine. Genuine answer then, absolutely yes. My first view of the display was from P&V, without music or ...

I've always thought that air forces should have a couple of jet options, if there's a major fault with the F35 in future that causes them to be grounded, most of Europe's air arms will be out of operation. How about flogging the jet to potenetial buyers with one of it's main selling points being st...

Oh, and if the Sk.60 doesn't win an award I will demand a public enquiry. Superb flying. Having seen it from three different viewpoints, in various weather conditions, I'm absolutely on board with you on that. There are two main aspects to any display: technical, and artistic. I'd say the Sk60 won ...

As if it couldn't take off yesterday and also circle for ages 🙃 I guess I'll just have to attend departures only next year to finally see it take off lol

Why does the B-52 take off then circle for ages? Surely it’s more fuel efficient to take off and go straight into it’s flypast?
Not sure, but the KC-135 that it's due to RV with has only just launched from Mildenhall.

I would have thought that Nicos and Ted Coningsby as well as anyone else in the same position would have contacted the RIAT Organisers to check it would be ok to live stream at the event. They no doubt will do so in future.
Much more likely that they know the rules, and were just winging it!

Re: RIAT 2023 Discuss everything thread

These Ts&Cs seem entirely reasonable, but that "or otherwise" at the end is a bit moot. If you're off-site, even if you have bought a ticket, you are surely outside the geographical limits of the legal contract that you have entered into with them? And if you haven't bought a ticket, ...
