Re: Protest at City Airport

Very disturbing that folk can easily access the runway.

"Daily Fail" will have a great time with this.

Met Police Air Support - Photoshoot

Unusual to see all three MP helos over Tower Bridge/Thames this afternoon, plus a photoship.

Any reason other than to celebrate a safe (so far) Games?

G-EHMS on Southwark Bridge

London Air Ambulance just landed on Southwark Bridge. Great sight (and site!) on a sunny Friday outside my window.

Any ideas why? Olympic exercise?

I don't post often but great to see some art in photography, as against the "I must record...and meet standards..."

Really lovely images, especially in BW.

Re: What a fool......

Entirely disagree. Dreadful decision by a H&S conscious court (as usual). Just because you own or have control of a helicopter surely does not entitle you to land exactly where you want. We are not restaging "Apocalypse Now"..... Claiming to have sent notices to the neighbours (whether...

RIAT - Defence Cuts Biting..

(1) We all know the Tonkas are getting on a bit, but Duck tape is surely a step too far.... Or (2) We've had "Horse" now we have "Jet Jockey"...on a very broad saddle http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/zz245/andrewba/DSC01662.jpg http://i832.photobucket.com/albums/zz245/andrewba/...

Chinooks over London

Whilst waiting for the start of the freecast of "La Traviata" in Trafalgar Square, four Chinooks flew over at about 1840.

One is not unusual over the Thames. Anyone know why we were treated to four?

Thanks
