Re: Northolt Nightshoot XXVIII
Thanks guys
Jeff - if you mean the white one in my Archives section, that was at Gatwick - I'm led to believe it was G-APMB, which was used by Dan Air as a ground trainer (with wings) before it was clipped.

Re: Bulk photo scaning
Hi Rob I have the Epson FF680, using it predominantly for family stuff. It's quick and pretty accurate, the software if fairly intuitive and has worked well for me so far. As usual the resulting image is very dependent on the quality of the input. I'll try and dig a couple of images out and post the...

A busy mid October
A bit like buses - nothing happening for months, then a bunch come along together. First up was the return of the Northolt Nightshoot on 13 October 2022, after an enforced hiatus. A good evening which I thought was well represented and enjoyed by all - thanks again Phil and the team. Next day, off t...

After the Edwards AFB show, I visited Fox Field and managed to get a tour of the firefighting aircraft ramp. https://planephotos.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/DSC_5235-copy.png https://planephotos.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/DSC_5239-copy.png https://planephotos.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2...

Re: Help for a friend at RIAT 2022 Arrival Days 13/14 July
Hi again everyone.
Junji-san will be staying in an apartment in Swindon, very near the station, so if anyone is travelling back by car on 13/14 July and could give him a ride, that would be great.
Thanks in advance
Leon

Re: Help for a friend at RIAT 2022 Arrival Days 13/14 July
Hi Stagger - yes he does speak English reasonably well. He has helped me greatly in the past on my trips to Hyakuri and other bases near Tokyo. You may know of him - his name is Junji Sato.
I'll ask where he is staying.
Thanks

Help for a friend at RIAT 2022 Arrival Days 13/14 July
Hi Everyone I am putting this request on here on behalf of my good friend Junji Sato from Japan. He is coming to RIAT this year and as normal he is getting to the show by shuttle bus from Swindon Station. However the shuttle bus is not running on the arrival days (13/14 July) and while he is quite h...

I always thought the Mk 5 appeared to be easier to tune than the Mk 6 - the band window was larger on the Mk 5 so setting the frequency seemed to be quicker....

Re: Vintage Airband Radios
Interesting site.
I had a Shorrock Mk 6 (I think) which was I believe based on a Bush radio but I can't be certain. It was about 50+ years ago!!
Much smaller than the Mk 5 - more modern for the time.
