Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

[The government’s failure to deal with this is awful now. I know that they hope it just goes away, but the damage of unlocking lockdown is catastrophic and unforced. Tommy It's a Catch-22. If you don't unlock, the national debt rises to the point of unsustainability, the economy will fail leading t...

The slogan obviously read: Stay at home*.........Protect the NHS......Save Lives *Terms and Conditions Apply This is day 6 of Cumminsgate. How long will this go on? Will it get to the Sunday papers 2 weeks in a row? All I can say is whatever hold Cummings has on Johnson, it must be dynamite, or he r...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

My brother finally gave up his fight against cancer last week, only 10 of us can go to his funeral and we will have to wait until later in the year for a proper send off/wake. If we are spared that is ! A colleague at work has lost both his parents to Covid-19 last week, so I think that’s sadder th...

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus

All the self employed people who for years have been using accountants to make their profits disappear into their accounts so they paid little or no tax are now feeling less smug as the Govt has stated that any grant they receive from them will be based on their their declared profits! Boris asks people to avoid pubs etc. If he had Ordered us to close, we might have a claim on insurance. Asking us means we have to voluntarily close. We lose the ability to claim. I know it pales against loss of life and my thoughts are with those bereived, but this country will need business to pi...

COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Well I'll start this off then. It's fairly obvious what this is doing to my business, barely a booking in a week, plenty of cancellations, no different to anyone else in the hospitality sector. Welash Assembly Gov need to climb down off there political horse and give small businesses in Wales, the s...

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus

I think it is only a matter of time before the decision to cancel events such as RIAT and Yeovilton is made. Zero chance the virus will still be going in July/ August. This article shows how with a lock down like they have in Italy currently and we will almost certainly have here shortly you can br...

2019, well it started sadly for me with the demise of the Tonka. At least I got to see them bow out in style. So, work got in the way of everything until Daks over Duxford, which was very impressive to see so many gathered together, but the weather spoiled the spectacle. Then to RIAT, which while ha...
