Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 Wishlist:

With the arrival of their first F-16s, I'd like to see the Bulgarian MiG-29s and/or Su-25s before they're retired.

Re: Red Arrows retirement ???

The whole point of the Reds was demonstrating RAF CFS....... To pick on another point, that may have been the case when they were established, but now, they're used for far more than that. Public engagement, recruiting, ambassadors for Great Britain, to name just a few. There are a lot of arguments...

Re: Interesting Internet

Interesting that the schedule says 15th & 16th for El Centro, when the El Centro website says the airshow is only the 15th.

Re: Jerry Fray Enclosure ?

There were only a limited number of platforms (10 or 12 I think), and they were snapped up very early last year. Honestly, I wish they hadn't bothered with them because all it meant was a select few had a raised position AND, anyone stood behind had their view blocked. If they're going to have platf...

Re: Interesting Internet

Gods, I wish another country had the balls to order the Kawasaki P-1, a dedicated Maritime Surveillance Platform, that's just cool as... Instead, we're just getting converted airliners, that, if they go anything close to low-level, they'll max their fatigue life a lot quicker than expected.

We're stopping in Yuma the night before so it shouldn't be too much of a problem, but I'll probably set my alarm an hour earlier just in case

Re: Boom XB-1 first Supersonic Flight - Livestream

Yeah, it was good to watch and hear the comms too. Felt like a bit of an anti-climax as it just went through the sound barrier and absolutely nothing happened apart from the jump in the telemetry. I know nothing is supposed to happen but would have been nice to see a shock cone or something

Re: MCAS Yuma 15th March 2025

I have been to this Airshow several times, the last time in 2023. In my experience the security teams (generally just ordinary US Marines) are strict about the no camera bags/rucsacs. I purchased a clear bag ( shoulder beach bag) here in the UK and no problem with that and carrying 2 camera bodies ...

Phwoar, fantastic stuff Paul. I always like that two-tone grey scheme applied to the Typhoon prototype, shame it never stuck with the in-service aircraft. I seem to remember Dassault would change the flight number on the Rafale daily.

To those that have visited before, could you help with a query? On the website in the information section, it states "Only clear bags are pemitted on the flight line. Clear bags will be available for purchase in the parking area". Does that mean it's not possible to take camera bags in? Th...

I went to Iwakuni last year and went through the vetting process there (and saw one chap being escorted out!), although we didn't have to wear lanyards.

Sad news about the show but it was of course, even worse to lose Richard Grace, and an understandable decision in the end.

MCAS Yuma 15th March 2025

As I'm planning to attend this one, I thought I'd post the info for it. Quite a short show, starting at 10.30 and finished by 1.30 but what a line-up! https://www.yumaairshow.com/information/schedule The highlights for me being the Marine Aviation Capabilities demo, especially if the CH-53K that's l...

Fantastic to see the G.91 still flying! I was lead to believe it was only for the 100th anniversary and then it would be grounded again. Great to see the MB.326 too, thanks for posting!

This article on the BBC is suggesting that the Pumas are going to be replaced with H-145s. But is that the entire fleet, or just a proportion?
