Re: Formula One 2021

Hypothetical Question. Assuming Bottas is OUT at Merc who do you replace him with, Russell, Norris or AN Other? From what I've seen this year I would be tempted to go Norris. However it's all hypothetical as the rumours seem to be that it's just a matter of timing for Russell to be announced for nex...

Re: Is anybody happy with the Brexit white paper?

So the government spent millions on advertising telling folks to be prepared, then published the new border trade arrangements yesterday evening for something taking effect later that night. Read that whole thread. This is going to really impact small exporting businesses. https://twitter.com/faisal...

DCS Christmas Sale

The DCS Christmas Sale is now live, along with the option to try any module free of charge for 2 weeks from the 22nd of December.
The sale ends on the 11th of January.

The F-14A/B is $59.99 in the sale. I think this is the cheapest it's been since the pre-order period closed.

The current COVID restrictions on UK nationals travelling into various EU countries show that the UK had control of its borders all along while being an EU member.

Re: JSDF 301squadron gone?

Past 2 weeks has seen a tour of Japan by the 2 special scheme jets. This finished on Tuesday from what I can gather from Japanese spotters. Haven’t seen a specific posting that the squadron has stopped flying yet, but they are due to stop before the end of the month. I think the test squadron at Gif...

Getting my “Edtracker pro” to work, a sort of pseudo TrackIr device, has really increased the immersion factor, especially doing the Bush flight challenge from Croatia to Santorini, which I have flown about 1/2 the legs so far.

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator Returns

I did my PPL training on a C152 just over 20 years ago in my early 20’s. For various reasons I never kept the licence current. Today I downloaded the standard version of the latest MS Flight Sim and had a play around with the C152. This was the first time I had used Flight Sim in years. Even on medi...

Re: F1 ( and other motorsports ) 2020

Speaking of Merc: Both Toto and Sir Jim Ratcliffe were coy at the Ineos sponsorship announcement the other day, however hints of Merc staying in F1, Toto close to new deal and new deal for Lewis. Personally can’t see a major sponsor signing up for 5 years if they weren’t sure those things were happe...

Wonder if they will have similar cooling issues to Mercedes last year who ran with an extremely tight aero package at the rear of the car.

What is so appealing about a WTO Brexit?

No developed economy trades on WTO terms.
