Re: Dunsfold sold?
I worked at Dunsfold for 3 years and this story has been doing the rounds since at least 2006, doubtful it will ever happen. If you know the area you will be aware that the local roads and infrastructure could not handle hundreds of homes and the hundreds more cars that would go with those homes. Th...

Re: Republic of Korean Navy visits London - 9/10 Sep 2013
I am working at DSEI all week and toured both Korean ships today for my company and can confirm there are no helos on either ship!
As far as I know the are no helos on any of the capable ships berthed at Excel although the is an RN Merlin present at the car park end of the centre.
Cheers

Re: Tablets, Planefinder FR24 etc
Personally I use an Ipad and cant fault it, been a brilliant bit of kit and travels the world with me! Great product, great support, brilliant photography and aircraft tracking apps, can watch films during a flight even on short haul as the screen is excellent, the original, always copied so why go ...

Re: Hurricane?
The museum you are referring to is in Jvyskyla and it is one of the best museums I have visited at possibly the quietest airport I have ever flown from. The Blenheim is there although the P-39 Airacobra in Soviet markings was not there when I visited, sadly. They have one of the few complete Brewste...

Harrier Memorabilia
Been meaning to post this on here for ages, a really quite special peice of Harrier memorabilia. This is a 3 dimensional profile of a Harrier GR1 made by the apprentices as BAE Dunsfold and mounted on to glass which I have owned since the early 80s. The cut out is actually made from a peice of GR1 m...

Re: LHR Myrtle Avenue on BBC website
It starts with writing numbers and letters in a pad and ends with wearing flight suits with patches (or khaki coloured gear) at airshows. I will let others fill in the bits inbetween. Dont forget the sad loons whose trousers have had an argument with their shoes, argue about con numbers, dribble an...
