Just witnessed what appeared to be a Merlin HC4 two-ship demonstration over Yeovilton. Hopefully working on a potential routine for this summer - would be a nice addition to RIAT.
This is worked up most years and tends to be just for the JHC families days etc.

Arrivals and Departures @ VL

Not posted on here for a while so thought I would share some images from the Yeovilton arrivals and departures, I did not bother with the show itself but spent the Thursday, Sunday and Monday in the sheep field on the 27 approach. Re: Sea Vixen XP924 Thread

Would it not be cheaper to acquire another Sea Vixen airframe, there's one inside the museum for example, swap all the working bits from XP924 across and start from there rather than try repairing a damaged airframe? Donate XP924 to the donor as the static exhibit when patched back up. Serious ques...

Re: Wildcat / Swordfish combo

Not wanting to rain on your parade but didn't two Wildcats and a Swordfish fly together at Yeovilton 2013? Either way, hopefully will be a sight oft repeated at future shows. That was LS326, WS856 is the oldest aircraft serving in the Fleet Air Arm hence the oldest and newest aircraft flying togeth...

Still not seen anything, other than an article in a local newspaper, to say the F-35s are performing a flypast anywhere. Fairford is still listed in every press release to be the first time the F-35 will be shown to the public, etc. and you'd have thought they'd have mentioned being part of the car...
