Re: Modelling Forum Boost

Count me in for both the 1/144 GB and the starters one. For 1/144 I'd love to do ICM's TU-144 'Concordski'. For the 'starters' one I don't know yet. Are we talking about the kits that come with a brush, paint and glue?

Re: Special schemes GB-1/48 Academy T33- double build

There were some fit issues. Especially where the back of the canopy meets the fuselage, that needed quite a bit of filling and sanding. But overall it's a nice kit. Not a lot of detail in the cockpit but that can be fixed using the available after market sets if you wish to enhance it. The decals fr...

The Whisky four T-33 is almost finished, just the landing gear to go on: http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx201/rafbe12b/Lockheed%20T-33/b8302e30-bd84-432e-8037-0ad2d0c93d1c.jpg http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx201/rafbe12b/Lockheed%20T-33/DSC_0085.jpg http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx201/...

A quick update. After a lot of masking and airbrushing the Whisky Four T-33 now looks like this: http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx201/rafbe12b/Lockheed%20T-33/0885fd09-4b4b-4693-95cb-ea108e49a2c5.jpg http://i756.photobucket.com/albums/xx201/rafbe12b/Lockheed%20T-33/c28e8c98-d60e-4705-894d-37062f...

Re: Greek A-7 kit preference for 1:48

The Hobby Boss A-7 kits do look very nice. I haven't built one yet but have one in the stash. If you're looking for lots of aftermarket you might be better of getting a Hasegawa kit though. They have been around for a lot longer so more detailsets have been produced for them than for the relatively ...

Special schemes GB-1/48 Academy T33- Finished

Hello all, This is the Academy 1/48 Lockheed T-33. I'll be building two of these. One of them in the colour scheme of Dutch demonstration team Whisky Four. The team started in 1956 flying Gloster Meteors, switching to the Lockheed T-33 in 1958. In 1965 two of the teams aircraft collided whilst perfo...

Roden 1/48 OV-1C Mohawk

I started this kit for the twin engine GB but couldn't get it finished in time. Re: Special Schemes GB - 1/7/14 to 31/10/14

I might join in with a T-33a flown by Dutch demo-team Whiskey Four in the 1960's. The Academy kit in 1/48 seems nice and quite straightforward. I couldn't get the Mohawk OV-1c finished in time for the twin engine GB (sorry Alan) but will post pictures of the progress this weekend in the regular mode...

Re: Twin Engined GB - 1/4/14 to 30/06/14

Hello, Despite my incredibly poor track record finishing kits on time in these GB's, I am going to enter this one with either the Roden 1/48 Grumman Mohawk OV-1c or the Academy 1/48 Suchoi Su-27 UB. Both seem to be decent kits, so haven't decided yet which one it is going to be. Alan, I am so sorry ...

Revell GB 1/32 Arado 196

Started on Revell's 1/32 Arado Ar 196. Re: Revell GB - 1/48 F/A - 18F Super Hornet

Hi Matt, Good choice, I think this is one of Revell's best kits. I started it some time ago but haven't finished it yet. My tip would be to take care assembling the air intakes. Mine ended up with some hard to fill seams on the inside. Another thing is finding red paint to match the decals. I starte...
