some nice pictures there, the 2 bristol ksw's look as though they are in immaculate condition, most classics are in better condition than modern serving vehicles!

There is a clip of the 1959 show on Youtube. I believe the main problem with the Rotodyne was the noise generated by the tip mounted jets being incompatible with city centre life. I remember making a model of the rotodyne as kid in the 90s, i would have loved to have seen it fly. as i would have many of the machines of yesteryear...i think i was born in the wrong era!

As historical records these are great - Barton was such a brilliant venue, a tight grass airfield under busy airspace playing host to a huge variety of aircraft. RR Spit certainly was the one lost at Woodford (in 1992), with the loss of pilot David Moore.
