Re: Various RAF Flown Covers
Hi, I collect covers too. Looking over the ones you currently have on ebay I’d recommend putting each of the covers reference numbers in the title to help collectors find them (the code in the top left of most of them). I’m afraid none of the ones you’re currently listing are particularly rare thoug...

Wanted – Top Gear Portfolio 2014
Hi, Bit of a long shot but I know there are a few Top Gear fans on here. Yesterday in WH Smiths I picked up this year’s Top Gear Portfolio 2015 and added it to my collection on the book shelf, only to discover 2014 is missing. It may be I just never got round to picking it up so I looked online and ...

Great pictures, what an event to have been at. What happened to all those airframes after retirement, were many scrapped, stored or preserved?

I think you are correct in thinking that there was a car on top of the building, along with Big Ben I think I was very surprised to see the Hunter on top of said building. I hadn't been down that way for a while so you could imagine my surprise when I drove past it and see a Hunter on top would have...

Congratulations, it's a great feeling isn't it!!! A great picture too. It's always worth shooting a few portrait shots if your doing trains or aircraft as you can bet not many other people are and trying to get a front cover out of a landscape shot can be really hard if you've not composed for that ...

Hi,
You can see (and buy) aviation artist Michael Rondot's impression of the incident here:
http://www.collectair.co.uk/buy-online/ ... unter.html
I must admit if I've always been very tempted to get a print of it.
Enjoy,
Mark

Re: 7D firmware 2.0 available
Hi, It's a great update, it's also a great way of keeping people quiet for a bit asking when the 7Ds replacement is coming as I'm pretty sure it's now the oldest in the current range and should be next in line for a replacement. This seems like a tie over and suggests a replacement is some way off y...

Re: Food costs at airshows, diminishing returns
When I went to an airshow in Germany a few years ago I was amazed to discover that, not only was entry free but the food was very reasonably priced and of excellent quality. That’s on top of the fact that the static aircraft were well spaced with good distances from barriers or no barriers at all. I...

Re: Electric Orliks
Here’s my 2p worth on the subject. Clearly the lighting flash is the brightest object in the image and would effectively “burn” (for want of a better word) itself into the image as a fixed location as it happens. The aircraft is climbing and the photographer is therefore panning with it and as the a...

What a terrible tragedy! I’m a Ducks fan and it’s now confirmed former NHL star and Mighty Duck (as they were then) Ruslan Salei was on board. Salei is the club's all-time leader in games played among defensemen (594). He was great to watch and was a huge part of the team for many years. He stilled...
