Re: Trooping the colour flypast 8th June
Weather was truly dreadful for low flying just north of Ipswich... The typhoons were just scraping along below the very low cloud base and avoiding/passing through heavy showers. Never seen them so low. Same for the Red Arrows.... Not surprised that some of the larger aeroplanes did not make it to L...

Re: RIAT 2018 Arrivals
I know this isn't quite the right thread - but shall I post all the aircraft display timings for Fri/Sat/Sun (straight from the official programme) here? This is available to buy, so is in the public domain etc - and I don't suppose it will have much effect on the sales of these! I can copy and pas...

Re: Yak crash at Wanaka
Pilot error....simply because the cherry pickers ( and whatever the big yellow thing behind them is ) were stationary & would have been visible before the aircraft landed - and you'd have thought that it would have been NOTAMd as an obstacle and/or the pilot would have been advised of their pre...

Re: Cad West 28th August - Mach Loop Part Deux
I've read some of the above incredulously... Some of the tone could be construed as unpleasant... although I am sure that the authors would disagree... I have no wish to antagonise anyone, however..... this thread is most revealing... I'm somewhat with ranger on this. I'll declare an interest... I'v...

Re: Mach Loop -Where's best spot?
If you really want to go, but struggle on the hills... why not try road level at the east end of Talyllyn, parking available, quite an impressive corner, I would not climb hills with a poorly ankle, Cad East is possible if the track is OK. From road level the track is a 15 min stroll, followeed by 1...

Re: Bruntingthorpe 03/05/09
I was not there today however, as I assume that photography was allowed, it is surprising that anyone should be 'disgusted of anywhere' (mind you Lincs is a funny place) when photographs are taken and circulated. It is the stunning and unsusual that surprises us all. An unplanned/unfortunate event m...
