Reds Sunday only, but they’re saying in comments on social that there’s also an evening show on the Saturdays too. That’s passed me by, but as a Saturday ticket holder it sounds good!
I'm sure it was mentioned here

Re: Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2023 - 16th & 17th September

Is it just the actual Tank Bank that's closed - is the crowdline still accessible at that end? The sound people were putting loud speakers up along the crowd line there on Monday https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53186043407_2d81d7cca7_h.jpg Thanks - wondering if it was back to a couple of years ...

Re: Ayr international airshow - September 2023

I never made it down (despite only 30 mins away) as the list in advance didn't have much that attracted me and I'm going to Duxford this weekend. In relation to my previous post, I wonder wether anyone could provide confirmation of Registrations/ Serials/ Numbers of the Aircraft from the Team Raven ...

Great memories! Was it the Sunset Ceremony the F3's usually flew in formation for.

Really need to do the same and go back through old shows and get some scanning done. Maybe a project for the winter!

Also read elsewhere the Catalina and Swordfish will be flying together as well.

Battle of Britain Airshow - Duxford Sat 10th Sept 2022

Busy week with work/family means I've only now finished sorting through my photos from last Saturday at Duxford. First (and poss last) "proper" airshow of the year and first time at Duxford for a few years. Outside of the Czech Hind/Hip pair it felt much like the usual suspects for a Duxfo...

Re: Channel 5 new series

Thought it was a good watch - not really an aircraft I knew too much about though so be interesting to see what the others are like. Only criticism is that it's titled 'British planes that won the war' so presumably the episode on the Harrier will cover the Falklands yet they have a Spanish Harrier ...

A-10s at Prestwick 30 May 2022

Probably one of the best movements of the year so far at Prestwick today was the arrival of 10 A-10's on their way back to the US. Night-stopping and due to depart tomorrow. Thanks goodness for "working from home" but did mean I could only be there for an hour or so. https://liv...

I guess the RAF Museum’s logic is that, if people really want to see a Red Arrows Hawk, they can go to Tucson.
East Fortune's probably closer for most people here and no passport required (well not yet  ).

2021 Airshows

Just finished listening today to Episode 21 of the podcast where airshows next year were being discussed at the end. 30 mins later and up pops on my Twitter feed an announcement that next years Scotland's National Airshow at East Fortune has been cancelled. To deliver next year's Airshow, planning a...

https://soundcloud.com/ukairshowreview/episode-21 This week we break out the bagpipes and get a haggis on the stove as we're talking about Scottish airshows with UKAR's own Gordon Duncan. He takes us dirty southerners through the legacy of the famous Leuchars airshow, what made that show so special...

Re: Shuttleworth Collection - Vintage Air Show Sept 2020

Thanks for the comments. Doing Shuttleworth from Glasgow?? There's dedication for you! Lovely set of shots, I really like the lighting in your Hurri and Edwardian shots. Worked out I must have been at at least one airshow each year for the past 30 odd years (which makes me feel rather old!) and didn...

Shuttleworth Collection - Vintage Air Show Sept 2020

What a fantastic day out last Sunday the the Vintage Airshow. This was my first drive-in airshow and enjoyed the experience - feel much more relaxed and great not having to carry chair, camera bug, food etc. about the place. Got there about 9:15 and directed into a queue with all the other early bir...

Great set! From the quick look I've had at mine you couldn't have been too far from where I was parked given the similar angles on some of them.

Re: Vintage Air Day Sun 6th Sep

I had a fantastic day yesterday! First time there with the drive-in format and thought it worked very well - partly down to being fairly close to the front towards the tower. Hangars were also open up as long as your wore a face mask. I also did one of the Flight Line tours which was good. Great aft...

Re: Flying Legends to cease at Duxford

Surprised to read this as a "fairly" regular attender at Legends. One of the main benefits of Duxford previously is it's location and transport links. Easy to get from Stanstead to Cambridge then shuttle bus - for a few years I was able to do it in a day from Glasgow or Prestwick. However,...

Red Arrows Prestwick Stopover - 15th August 2020

Nice visit from the Red Arrows at Prestwick on Saturday as part of their planned VJ flypasts. Seems that the west coast of Scotland and Northern Ireland were the only places in the UK decent weather on Saturday. Cycled over with the family from Troon so didn't want to venture too far which meant I e...

Ticket booked - at the start of the year I was planning another visit to Old Warden as not been for a while. Thought I might not have made it but glad they are able to organise these. I'd ruled this out if it was going to be a "normal" airshow, but much more comfortable attending a drive-i...

Re: An-225 (and others) at Prestwick 2 Aug 2020

Like the take off shots Euan. It was well worth the trip over, but as you say, it was packed. I stayed at the mound. I would have liked to have gone to the bridge for the take off, but feared it would have been impossible to get parked there and in position in time. From pictures when it arrived it...

An-225 (and others) at Prestwick 2 Aug 2020

First for me today seeing the fantastic An-225 at Prestwick. Lucky timing with a weekend date and only stopping for a fuel stop. Never seen the place so busy and that was me avoiding the mound. Included a couple of other visitors (including the C-17 but didn't want to create a separate thread just f...

Re: Trees or aircraft?

Not sure the topic title needs changing, this is exactly the issue that has stymied the plans. I read the NMS director's comments that these airframe may be lost if this project didn't go ahead. He has had these artefacts in his care for a number of years and not even a paintbrush has been applied ...

I would be interested to know why the existing hangars and surrounding area is a "Scheduled Monument" Anybody with local knowledge know why East Fortune is listed as such, it sounds very grand, but expect it has little relevance, from photographs most of the building appear to be post war...
