Re: AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR

Have you considered the AF-P FX instead? Better build quality, more compatible. Fair bit more dosh, sadly. m Thanks for coming back to me. Yes, I've come to conclusion from research and advice that this is the best option. I've now got my current lens back from Nikon and they have replaced loads of...

I thought that too. It's had a lot of use, I'm not sure that it was fixed properly first time.

AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR

Has anyone tried the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR lens yet. I have the NIKKOR AFS70-300/4.5-5.6G IF VR ED which is 10 years old now and is back at Nikon for the second time this year for repair. It was always been very sharp and reliable but it may now be at the end of it's useful life. ...

JASDF Hamamatsu Airshow (27 Pics)

It seemed rude not to see the Japanese Display Team 'Blue Impulse' whilst in Japan so we spent a day and a half at the Airshow. Both days were spent outside as the fist day is for locals only and the second day inside would have meant shooting into the sun. It was a nice little show with great displ...

Re: JASDF Hyakuri Airshow

Good stuff Tony, they look remarkably similar to mine! It was good to meet you over there. Nick Not surprising Nick, good to meet you too. Pity I lost a lot of shots due to my 70-300mm lens focusing properly on the right but not on the left. It's gone back to Nikon again! They will probably say I h...

JASDF Hyakuri Airshow

I was lucky enough to be able to go out to Japan and include the show for both days. Saturday, which was a much better day, was spent outside and inside on Sunday which was dull and overcast for much of the day. I don't normally post pictures of this size as I use a smaller format for my website. I ...

One grey Learjet in the static but the flyer was still in cammo. Lovely! Two now grey and two still in cammo. Both will be turned grey next year.

It's one of the ex Swiss ones upgraded with a glass cockpit. They got 18 and have kept those colours. Bit like our old Hawk scheme.

I wasn't really sure which section to add these to, Mods, feel free to move them if needed. I attended to Finnish Air Force 100th event at Tikkakoski a couple of weeks ago. When I bought my tickets I really never expected to be one of the lucky winners of a flight with the Silver Jets (Fouga Magiste...

Looks like you were a very lucky man. Being a Naval Air Facility rather than Station it has no based aircraft and is very 'hit or miss'. Apart from six or seven Ospreys on my visit it was dead. Nice shots!

Re: Sensational Shuttleworth

I had a similar problem with many of my images. I don't think it is anything to do with dust spots. On mine they are like small - signs. That implies they are dots but become dashes due to panning. I suspect these are insects, I've had it happen at grass fields before.

I've got the Nikon 300mm F4 and use it all the time with the 1.4 converter. I wouldn't be without it, much sharper than any images I have had with any of the bigger zooms I have tried.
