The steep mountain face in front of the crowdline dominates the little airfield and really enhances the flying displays which were simply fantastic. The plans of the Swiss AF to replace the Tigers helped to attract most contenders...

But its incomparable when you don't have the static line up and a show that faces into the sun all day. Great show still. What a show! Fast jet heaven in the sky and a static filled with heavies, awesome! I did get a knot in my stomach though when the SU-27 was coming in slowly over the hangars but thankfully everything worked out ok but it looked far too close and certainly not something they will repeat. Thought the same it did look very low but I can’t really judge as I was far away, left of show...

Really stunned by the advices to leave around 6 am if you are in kempsford...what?!? Left Newbury at 7:15 today aimed for the blue route, got guided on blue alternative route through castle eaton after leaving A419 and arrived at blue car park minutes later. Whole trip under 1 hour .... zero waiting...

The open glider is a k8b with custom made canopy according to a draft by the manufacturer. Have done some videos with a GoPro but prefer pictures...less editin...
