Re: Sion Airshow 2017
Damn .... Now I know I should have gone up that hill but thought it would be too far away. Fantastic photos will post some of mine later but looking at my results I must admit you have some real stunners in that set! Thanks for sharing! How are your opinions on the show ground and organisation? Have...

Re: RIAT17 - do airshows get any better?
I am unable to answer that question since I have not been there but what I can say is the shots won't get any better than this ... fantastic!! May I ask what equipment was used?(I know that the photographer is the more important factor but still I'm curious to know)

Re: Shutterplane's Friday at RIAT
Some decent shots there thanks for posting! Maybe try being more selective, instead of showing a whole sequence pick just the best shots for the forum. This way it won't get repetitive!

IMO this is the best set from RIAT so far, top photography and processing! Planning paid off in the Reds shot, something different for a change! Thanks and show us some more

Bell Cobra (Flying Bulls) last display for some time...
....forever? I am no expert but Red Bulls beautiful Cobra suffered severe damage today during landing at a small field in Tyrol/Austria. The helicopter along with other Red Bull Acts displayed at the season opening of a pedestrian suspension bridge including flypasts below the bridge. This offered s...

Re: F-16 engine failure at Zeltweg
Dont get me wrong this is not about sensationalism or making a fuss about a minor incident. The video is not mine by the way! I just can't believe no one else but a few spotters took note of the 'unusual' afterburner, and the same jet suffering an engine malfunction (better word ) on the next day is...

F-16 engine event at Zeltweg
Hello, Just returned from the Airpower show in Zeltweg and I have some questions concerning the Belgian F-16. On the first showday we noticed from some moment on during the display the afterburner looked unusual. A long thin flame could clearly be seen despite the sunny weather. I would expect such ...

Re: Airpower '16
I dont know an exact time but the car parks definitely open before the gates, I guess at least an hour before. Traffic especially on saturday is massive so come early! Usually the motorway exit Zeltweg west is less popular so it maybe a good idea to use this exit. There was no immediate closing of t...

Re: Airpower '16
For arrival and training days I usually go to Flatschacher Strasse road which is very near to the 26 end of the runway (90% movements from that side usually) - you get really close to landing and lining up aircraft there but it does get very crowded and to capture aircraft lining up a ladder is need...

I read the comments on facebook also an it is clear to see these people complaining dont really have a clue...they ask for things that dont exist anymore like F-14 displays and similar. These people dont do other airshows they just like to complain...seems to be an austrian thing as it is the case w...

According to this article the Airpower airshow in Zeltweg will take place in 2016. No further detail except the statement that it will take place in fall and there will be a press conference on October 19. Quite surprising and not the best source but there is hope!

UK Charters in the Mountains (LOWI)
Hi everyone, Not the best charter season for me as winter did not see a lot of snow in this part of the country so while I spent my time skiing, hoping and waiting for fresh white backgrounds at the airport the last bits melted away and the season is already almost over…. Almost, as there are still ...

Awesome indeed, MIG and Rafale 09 are unbelievable!
What equipment did you use?
The only shot I don't like is the Connie, sky looks a bit overdone see the halo around the wing....

Re: Zeltweg AirPower 2013
This has to do with the Airpower itself and its position in Austria. If they would announce less visitors than 2011, they would have had to argue why this is the case. And also, 280.000 as well as 300.000 this year is a fake number. It is an advertising issue, not basing on real facts. I agree, the...
