Re: RIAT 2010 Feedback
The Czech Gripen display is easily THE best out there. The Czech display at Waddington changed my opinion of the aircraft completely, much better than the Swedes at RIAT this year, and Hungarians last year, a really good display. The new Swedish display pilot from F7 base that was sent to the UK no...

Re: Thunder(s) at Farnborough
Cool. PAF. The Chinese purchased drawings from Russia and it uses a Russian engine for the first 100 jets. Will be replaced by Chinese engine in the future. License produced and developed with Pakistan. Originally planned to fly with various western avionics such as Italian Radar but EU arms blockad...

Re: Gripen "Dump and burn"
The fuel vent pipe is located there on the JAS 39A-D models.
Gripen has system pressurized tanks and the pipe is connected to the Controlled Vent Unit and pressure regulator in the vent tank. The design also has flame arrestor.
Not the first Gripen to do this.

Re: 'Swede340' Brize 18/10/08
Some great shots there Stu, kicking myself for not going to 26 now On a side note I thought all the saab's were white? Argus is a AEW platform and all those are gray. They're modifying some of them at the moment which might explain the missing EriEye antenna but that's just my own guess. Very nice ...

Re: Dunk @ Crown Condor - Fairford
Excuse my noobiness, but what is a priority airframe? Thanks again people. In short it's a airframe of a major new version they assign extra flight hours to so it will stay ahead of everyone else in case they find bugs after a while... they also got "PRI" written on the fins. I think ther...

Gripen jet dumping flares
Czech Gripen at NATO days.
Pass 2 and 4 is kind of nice.

Haven't seen flares at airshows from the new euro-canards that much at all so I wanted to share this.
