Being taken to watch the Battle of Britain 50th flypast over London in 1990,I was 10yrs old and loved it! And also living down the road from Heathrow helped!

I understand that and they can charge what they like but at the end of the day its a national war museum having a D-Day celebration.By charging the veterans full price who fought on D-Day and other campaigns is shameful!!! Bruntingthorpe is open every sunday,The staff are great and were taking people to see the VC10s at the other end of the airfield over the past couple of months,I dont think its possible anymore though as 2 of the 3 will be moving on,You can try your luck next sunday though and hopefully you'll be ok,

Thanks to everyone at Bruntingthorpe for laying this on today and providing the final opportunity to see 3 VC10s "together in formation" I took 240 odd pictures and just uploaded the lot,VC10s are towards the bottom.They did have some sort of order but FlickR seems to have jumbled them all...

m Its on BBC IPlayer if you missed it (like me) That clip of the B-17 geting shot down gets used all the time,It was even in the Memphis Belle film if i recall. There obv isnt footage of a Shackleton being shot up so maybe they should just have shown a shack flying instead. Superb footage from Brunt...
