Re: Foo fighters best ever headline act at Glastonbury?

God no.......Beyonce, Rolling Stones, The Who, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Metallica, Radiohead 1997.
I don't doubt they're a good live band but dull and monotonous on the telly. I'm not a Metallica fan either but they were miles better.

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2017 - [Main Topic]

Do you not think that the RAF has such expertise to pull it off?

No, they don't. And if they did, which operation, front line squadron or OCU should we release the manpower from?
Or should they do it all for free in their own time?

Didn't he go back to Coningsby at high level though?

He may have been trying to get more information on the state of the ECS to help the groundcrew diagnose the fault. Recycle it, try different altitudes/attitudes/engine settings etc.

Re: UKAR GE2017 exit poll

There's never been any votes in defence, in fact the whole terrorist sympathiser/Trident question has been a huge distraction when there are far more important issues to discuss.

Re: UKAR GE2017 exit poll

Either some people were hiding their preference or they were lying on the election topic.....or they could, of course, be lying on here about who they voted for

Or maybe some of us don't want to talk about politics on an aviation website? Mind you the forum would be dead otherwise.

Re: Tomorrow's Legends?

Ant and Dec pretty much are the modern Morcombe and Wise. Jesus Christ no! Never has such a successful career been built on such little talent. They're not dong anything Noel Edmonds or Jeremy Beadle didn't perfect 20-30 years ago. TV is just too fragmented these days, with most big shows fronted b...

Re: President Trump

Why has that happened? Is it his age, or other circumstances that have changed? The Affordable Care Act is still extant. Not that I've got any sympathy for Trump supporters. You can make a case for voters in the EU referendum not being presented with all the facts, but not so with the US election. W...

If the event is run by volunteers........then the cost can be low.......If the event is run by a company or for profit organisation, inevitably the cost will be higher, Which backs up my point exactly. This event is not being run by a company for profit. Answer create a group and get involved or ap...

Re: RAF Marham Enthusiasts Day 2017

How about, the cost of the Marham event seems high to me and my budget, and more than I would wish to pay. The point being that if people refused to pay it, the fee would have to be lowered to a more acceptable level, making it accessible for more people. You get the feeling some people are happy f...

Re: President Trump

eric - that's a helluva stretch. Any other President who 'mispoke' would have corrected himself immediately and apologised. Trump is in a league of his own and it seems strange to me that some would choose to try to support him by picking out errors by other Presidents. Exactly. We're in uncharted t...

Excellent, so we will have more people driving into swollen fords, off cliffs and down bridlepaths "because the sat nav told me to, just like I did on my driving test"! They walk amongst us!

Surely that's what the new driving test is supposed to prevent?
