Succession is fantastic, I'm on season 2, episode 3. Looking forward to the Dundee episode. Hoping for a Logan Roy/Bob Servant crossover!

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon DA4 moving to Newark Air Museum

There's a few Tornados in museums with similarly built RB199s. No compressors, turbines, gearboxes, pumps, wiring harnesses etc. Just enough modules to hang an exhaust system on.

Re: Eurofighter Typhoon DA4 moving to Newark Air Museum

is there any opportunity to ask RR or the RAF (as a donation ) to let you have a pair of withdrawn from use EJ200 reheat nozzles to at least make the aircraft look complete? Andy, there's no way of attaching the variable exhaust nozzle to the aircraft, so you'd need a front jet pipe which has the r...

Re: Airliner loading

They include boarding people in window seats first, starting at the back, followed by middle then aisle seats. Gatwick said different boarding methods could reduce the journey from airport gate to seat by about 10%. The airport operator says that the window-to-aisle seat pattern of boarding is best...

Re: Airliner loading

Of course not, they've got to board together. I'm talking about the majority of passengers travelling alone. The problem as we all know is the carry-on luggage. People are so scared they'll have to put it in the hold they rush on to find a space in the overhead locker, then have to get up and block ...

Why not board the window seats, then middle, then aisle? Saves people having to get out of their seats when I get on last with my window seat.

Apologies Iain, but it's easy to miss the humour if you don't know the originator's point of view, and it's only the written word.

Re: Is anybody happy with the Brexit white paper?

Good point phreakf4, but it's really hard to let a comment like Iain's go unchallenged. I appreciate Tommy's posts because he articulates a lot of people's thoughts and reactions better than we can! I posted ages ago that politics should be kept off any forum for the sake of civility, it never ends ...

Re: Should bouncers be banned in cricket?

You can't ban bouncers, the short ball is integral to the game. The game would be far too easy for batsmen and no kind of spectacle for fans.

That's great to hear, and I sincerely hope I'm wrong about the next generation of cricketers! I'm just going by my experiences and reports I've read on the decline of people playing regular cricket. I firmly believe though that the effect of England's superb cricket at times since 2005 has been much...

England may never have won the World Cup without Sky Investment - Ashley Giles who is integral to that winning team would agree with me. Not sure the King of Spain reads UKAR 8.3 million people watched the final yesterday, a figure you would never have reached on Sky Sports only. I've played cricke...

You did well getting tickets for PATD, I took my daughter to Glasgow to see them the other week. Left her and my wife at the Hydro and took some night shots on the river!

Re: Is anybody happy with the Brexit white paper?

Again Tommy beats me to it (I blame the time difference!). And I don't care if I sound patronising or insulting, there's plenty of evidence out there, quite apart from the conversations I've had with family and friends.
