There's some in the industry that have concerns about smoke toxicity being quite high when these things burn. Still, it's not like they catch fire much is it...

You were allowed on the ground around the aircraft, people were kept back for while to allow uncluttered pics from the cherry picker. I wasn't brave enough to go up.

Surprisingly few. Most Vulcan mobsters are aware of the nigh impossibility of returning Concorde to flight. They're nuts, but not that nuts!

Correct. Part of the agreement to receive one was that it was to remain "dead". No applying electrical or hydraulic services. Plus there was the usual H&S issues.

The brass neck of British Airways to put that video together as a promotional tool, after they binned the aircraft, making damn sure a rival would never operate them... They didn't have much choice, Airbus pulled support for the aircraft so game over. All this talk of another carrier operating them...

It's more to do with the level of expertise and experience in restoring, maintaining and operating these old aircraft. Not only that Bruntingthorpe has the advantage of free and easy access to 2 miles of runway, plenty of space on the pans and a very enthusiastic owner who bends over backwards to h...
