Re: This Saturday - final flight of Meteor NF11 - Bruntingth

Overheard that the pilot was only to do 3 circuits as dictated by the CAA. Re: Peter Teichman's thoughts

Was on the station when it happened (along with others on this forum I believe), the press photo looks as If cropped, the lens has forshortened and I think (I may be wrong) that the helicopter was already on the grass, the fly through appeared to be above the hard. (It's not my pic BTW)

Re: Concerts 2018

I can not stand U2 but I watched a recent Interview where they talked about the stage show, looking at it on the Tv it looked as if you would spend more time watching the screen instead of the band, what was the reality like?

Re: Music Concert Misses

Intresting thread, there are some bands on here I'm glad I've never seen but others regret not seeing them. The BBC have an article up at the moment about the end of stadium rock, tend to agree with what they say as there are no new big bands anymore.

Re: Do you get views of passing aircraft where you live?

We're under the approach to Birmingham from the north, probably about 15 miles away, but low enough to see registration if want to. Above that is traffic from Manchester but high. We also got F15s at the end of the Lichfield corridor. 4 year grandaughter can tell the difference in the engine noise n...

Ive done the Orme before and found it awkward to say the least to take photos, I don't think running the wrong way round helped this year either. I stayed in the town on one of the grandstands, very similar to Tir Prince. Hope the child that got injured which caused the delay is better now and you h...
