Re: Duxford BoB and RAF Centenary show - Saturday

My frustration, the A14 was closed on was and a 2 hour trip turning into 4 hour 10 min one. Took 2 hours 20 to get h...

Re: Rabbiting Chris Evans!

I like Chris Evans. But the hour to work, it's planet Rock, radio 2 and radio x. Depends on who's saying what and what's the tune. If it's insipid or an advert, change the chanel. If can't find anything I put an album on, currently listening to slayer on way back home as can't stand Jo Wiley

Re: CWJs Bruntingthorpe 26th August 2018

Think the ripple was operated for a couple of seasons before concentrating on WK163. The original ripple was scrapped IIRC.

As an aside I can remember walking past the su27 parked up and not even photographing it as it was so common at the time

I've been told verbally so don't take this as gospel that if you purchased a Sigma lens from jessops you automatically get a 3 year warranty

Re: Sigma Lens Hood Warning

Sort of. Last year at the BTCC at Snetterton I spoke to a guy with the same lens, he said it was much better without a filter on. I tried to unscrew my filter which unscrewed the entire end of the lens!!! Sigma put it back together and including postage took less than a week which I Thought was good...

Sigma Lens Hood Warning

For any one with a Sigma lens with a screw that holds the lens hood on beware. Do not over tighten the screw, mine went last weekend , I contacted sigma, I had stripped the thread. It is not guaranteed. £45.75 to replace the nut mechanism. Ouch.

There are really only a couple of places to view, unfortunately the jet pan is sort of in the middle but you could be lucky and get really Nice landing shots, think of it as a bit like Coningsby

Re: CWJ Bruntingthorpe, 27th May

For the Buccaneer event we were positioned between the ATC and the 747s etc.We were then got on a bus and taken down the perimeter track towards Gilmorton and around the end of the runway and deposited near the 737 in the trees. The Bucaneers then followed us on the perimeter track to the runway .

Re: Midlands Air Festival 18th-20th May 2018, Ragley Hall, W

For work I received today from the local authority notification of road closures around the site, it specifically has an impact on the 247 bus route which will be diverted. Unsure if of any use to anyone but amused me as cannot go as away :(
