Re: Jet shot down in Turkish air space
A supposed radar track has appeared on Twitter. If true it shows the Su-24 crossed a 2 mile wide stretch of Turkish airspace.... Unless it was doing under 30mph it wouldn't have been in Turkish airspace for the 5 minutes needed for the supposed warnings.... They would have been warning it before it...

They are just 737s people. Like Rivet is just a 707. And Voyager a A330. And Sentinel some bizjet. And Shadow a Kingair.

Re: russian sub off uk raf has no planes to find it
Does it really matter with our own subs and frigates looking? I don't know what exactly goes on in these searches and childish games, so if we find it then what? If its >12 miles out then its legally entitled to be there. Im sure the Clyde has plenty of other underwater detection measures to ensure ...

Re: S.D.S.R 2015
So what do the 'experts' on here think as to how many aircraft on each carrier if both at sea? Is it 12 on each or 24 on one (with the other actually never at sea at the same time)?

Re: S.D.S.R 2015
The Typhoon as far as I am aware was always meant to replace the Tornado fleet. It would be crazy for the MOD to have two different variants of F-35. Surely having one type offers flexibility in order to operate from the carriers. We have already seen enough money wasted with the farce created when...

Just wait 36 hours people and all will be revealed. Including why the right decision has been made over some ships. I mean, what exactly does the surface fleet apart from carriers honestly do these days?

Re: Tornado GR4 Display
Then let's call things by their proper name such as 'display'. A role demo is what the Hercules did, land, open, people out, take off. The Chinook for eg. was a display.

What point would a role demo be -----fly over at 25000ft, point laser, simulate weapons release, return to land. Exciting.

Re: BOB Makes It To Cosford....
Not open?! What a miserable country with a can't do attitude. Last weekend at the museum at Budapest airport I went on IL18, Tu134, Tu154 and Yak40. The latter I sat in the cockpit whilst it was all powered up by a GPU. All lights and control surfaces functioning, even the morse from the ILS ident w...

The camping at RIAT has nothing to do with the organisers at the airbase...?
Sorry, what I was getting at was the costs of those sites around Fairford, not RIAT itself.

Re: Thunder City goes international
Thunder City doesn't really exist. The Namibia shows were simply privately operated aircraft. An article in SA Flyer a few months back I reference elsewhere explained everything from M Beachy Head. All aircraft for sale still.

Wow he looks great for 92. Ask him if he recalls the crash at Cunovo, Slovakia 40 sqn. WellingtonMF458 on 5.10.44. One of many that flew out of Sicily to mine the Danube and stop Romanian oil getting to Germany.

First flight of the C130J - in fact the 1st for the RAF ZH865 First MD11ER delivered Laker DC10 returns to Gatwick 14 years after bust. N832LA did a proving fligh...

Probably one for Leadfoot. Any idea if this place is still open? Weblink doesn't give a good story and I want to go 30 or 31 Oct just before it would normally close for the winter.

But at least the description is correct certainly in the latter case it's utter pants! Rattle Strike LOL. Talk about dramatic names, a bit like Ramex Delta, East Coast demo team, Zeus etc. to try and grab attention.

No problem Andy it ends.............were basically peppers with rice in. However I misheard and served peppers with Ricin. Fortunately the guests who survived all saw the funny side, particularly as I had burnt the peppers anyway.
