Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2018 - [Main Topic]

Couple of quick points from today’s show now I’m finally through the door. Thought it was a great way of showing the RAF through the years just a shame that the final hour felt a bit disjointed as the party piece have next to no displays left. Polish Mig with Hurricane was very nice as was Trenchard...

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2018 - [Main Topic]

Flying Bulls bf-105 display is the best helicopter display I’ve watched. To say they throw the thing around is an understatement. Thrown about more than the German one at RIAT recently? If so I look forward to that tomorrow Quite honestly yes most aerobatic display I’ve seen from a helicopter that ...

Re: RIAT 2018 discussion

So am I right in thinking the Pakistan Hercs are L-100’s? Been reading something to that effect online. Last year a C-130 with additional windows below the cockpit, in 2016 an L-100 without, goodness knows what's going on with my flickr things? https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4312/35230520773_294351...

Re: RIAT 2018 discussion

Yes not too much missing but the promise of one of each type on static would mean we still need a Chinook (28 sqn's special please), Griffin, A109, 146, Prefect and Texan (if they've become operational), a Hawk T2 is also a surprise missing element currently. King Air is a bit of a cop out of sendi...

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2018 - [Main Topic]

That's the danger with infographics, they can be misinterpreted..! The CGI gives a general feel for the layout but it's not exact when it comes to positioning, types and indeed relative size. And the "Blast Pens" will be used but just not as part of the RAF100 line-up. I was planning to p...

Certainly since I started attending again in 2009 (since then the best IMO was 2011) it is looking like it could be the best yet but best ever is a bit of a push, I sti...
