Re: Vulcan's final roar at Clacton

Thanks Nick. Rather than lots of close-up shots that could have been taken anywhere, I tried to add some context to the last ever display that '558 will make at Clacton.

It was such a shame that she didn't display on Friday as the weather was much better.

Great shots of '558 with the Eagles - that's a formation I hadn't seen before!

Vulcan's final roar at Clacton

Hi Today was a great antidote to the sad events of last Saturday. I really enjoyed the show, but this was the undisputed highlight for me.... http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x130/Alpha_Delta_photos/ALPHA-DELTA-210/Clacton%20Airshow%202015/DSC_5338_zpsgmpx8tje.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/album...

Re: Canadian Warplane Heritage Airshow 2015

What a wonderful selection. My favourites have to be the Mosquito and SHar, and it was lovely to see VeRA again! Wouldn't it have been lovely to see the Lanc and Mossie in formation?

Hi Kev

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

It was only towards the end of the flight that I had the confidence to crank it down to 1/60s!

Re: Seafire XVII SX336 Air to Air

Thanks King Cobra. I agree that the last shot is the best, I don't know how I missed it first time around! (I don't know Neil Cave.) Ok. I asked as he invited me on an air-to-air shoot with SX336 (couldn't make it) and I wondered if these shots were from his gig. I see. This was coordinated by a Du...

The BBMF Dakota has withdrawn due to engine trouble. It looks like her slot will be filled on Saturday by "Sally B" (subject to final confirmation.)

Re: Seafire XVII SX336 Air to Air

Hi Rich Thanks for your kind words. I'm pleased you liked the images. I wanted to have some keepers, so started off at 1/250 in Shutter Priority and as I became more confident (and comfortable with the turbulence!), I reduced the shutter speed incrementally until I got to 1/60 with VR turned on. The...

Hi

I was just revisiting my Seafire images and out of the hundreds of very similar images, I decided that this one was probably my favourite!

Seafire XVII SX336 Air to Air

Hi I was fortunate enough to accompany this beauty as she made her way from North Weald to RAF Fairford for RIAT on Thursday 16th. Unfortunately, the weather didn't play ball, but I hope you enjoy these few shots: http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x130/Alpha_Delta_photos/Seafire%20Air%20to%20Air%20...

Re: American Air Day

Good morning I have attended this event every year so far and really enjoy the variety of ground displays and chatting to the personnel. Last year, my 12 year old was kitted up in a bone dome and sat in an ejection seat after handling a Barrett sniper rifle and .50 cal round! What more could a boy w...
