Re: RIAT / Waddington / Farnborough

Eek, looks like I need to factor in hiring a lens as well... Only got a 70-300mm atm, which sounds like it won't cut the mustard...!

Re: RIAT / Waddington / Farnborough

Cheers guys... After this year doing Waddington I'd like to try somewhere else, just for the experience, and I've always been interested in going to RIAT, so I think I am leaning that way. As to what I am interested in, the answer is all of the show, with photography definitely being the main focus....

RIAT / Waddington / Farnborough

Guys, As a relative newbie to the aviation photography world, having only done 2 airshows (Waddington 2013 and Duxford Autumn). Which of RIAT, Waddington or Farnborough would be the best to go to? (I can only do one really, without spending a massive amount...or getting divorced... ) Although I do w...

Red Bull Matador (from Duxford Autumn Show)

Brilliant photos - they'd be very good normally, but that skyline just adds another stunning, dimension to them...!!

Re: Wideangle Lens

I'm open to getting a 2nd hand to be honest - not sure how much use it will get, so that may be the best route for me...

Will take a look at the Sigma ones.

Thanks

Re: A.net rejection

Like other posters, I gave up on trying to get stuff onto A.net - always some little comment about it lacking sharpness or colour - when some of the other photos that got through were shocking... There is absolutely nothing with the original photo that they rejected if you ask me... I'd be VERY happ...

Wideangle Lens

Hi All, I have to come to the point where I want to get a good, but not too expensive wideangle lens. My camera body at the moment is a Canon Eos 600d, which I will change to something better once I get to grips with the whole DSLR thing...(probably a 70d when the prices come down a lot!!) Does anyo...

Re: Do you shoot RAW or JPEG?

At the moment I shoot in JPEG - mainly down to me not really knowing what to do post shooting with the formatting etc...

Plus the camera I have isn't really quick enough at writing the RAW images to the memory card...

Once I get a bit better at taking pics then I will look at using RAW.

There are some stunning photos in those...

The planes flying through there must sound amazing, and the scenery just makes them even better!

Wow...!

Duxford Autumn Airshow 2013 - my photos

Here's some of my photo's from the Duxford Autumn Show... The weather was, erm, nice... and after the rain that was falling in Colchester before I left in the morning I'm just grateful we got any flying! Let me know what you think - only had the camera a few months so still learning - so all critiqu...

Re: upgrade time.. not a clue what next.

I bought a Canon Eos 600d earlier this year - my first DSlr camera after several point and clicks... Although that is more of an entry level camera that will do me fine for a few years. I would definitely look at upgrading the lens' that I have before looking to upgrade the body - so that would be m...

Re: Post your Flickr

Hi Guys,

This is my Flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/100759757@N02/

Only been taking photos for a couple of months now - using a Canon Eos 600d, coupled with either a 28-135mm or 70-300mm canon lens...

Any comments and criticism most welcome!

Cheers
