Re: Sea Vixen XP924 Thread

I wonder if they will ever see their dream come to reality of flying two Sea Harrier's. I for one wish them the best of luck and would be in awe seeing them fly again. The best hope we have at the moment is seeing one at RIAT or Farnborough

Save the Skymaster

"Important Update ! Due to unforeseen expenditure problems with another project, the current bidder has had to withdraw from the Skymaster project. The Good News is that she could fly again with some work done. The survey carried out was positive and we have all the facts and figures to make he...

Re: XL500 Restoration

I just asked Horizon Aircraft Services and they said they are just waiting for the props to be overhauled and brought back to life, before they can fly it for the first time. Also, the Hawk that arrived in their hanger is a return to flight project and will be the first civilian one on the civillian...

Re: UK Heritage Aviation Trust

A few if I may: 1) Has a full engineering survey been performed to ensure the aircraft is the most suitable Vampire to purchase? 2) How quickly could the aircraft be made airworthy? 3) How do you plan to market the aircraft given the at best lukewarm public response seen towards the WK163 project? ...

Re: UK Heritage Aviation Trust

To answer your question, we have had discussions with several experienced figures in the industry and they have already offered some very helpful advice to us that we will utilise as we go into the future. Also, we did make a website that was almost finished, but this was JP XM424, which has now bee...

Re: Hawker Hunter Aviation

The Buccaneer is not for sale anyway, so not sure why UKAHT were considering it in the first place, still what can one expect from a Facebook group that seems to list a Vulcan among the possible aircraft types being looked at for them to fly. It was actually the Thunder City one we looked at, but w...

That was just one suggestion of many. We are now looking to buy De Havilland Vampire Mk55 U1229 G-HATD. I am going to create an official thread later with a short question and answer section

I believe that there are engine problems and they must remove one of the engines - the owner hopes to have her serviceable again late Summer.

CL44 Guppy - Bournemouth

Saw on Facebook some pictures of the CL44 Guppy at Bournemouth and it said the owner wants to return it to flight. Does anyone have any information further to this? I always thought there were airframe issues with the spar which prevented it from flying.

Re: Coventry Shackleton/Nimrod

Just a question really, I'm sure I've seen on here somewhere about a taxy run in this month of WR963, which I was hoping to make the 500 mile journey to attend, but I can't seem to find it! I've asked on the official thread but no answer. A friend today also informed me of a cancellation of the Nim...

Hi.
Anyone know why Winthorpe Airfield closed? The runway doesn't look too bad on google maps and hasn't been messed with.

Thanks
