Re: 2012's Show???
This will be quite an airlift - as South Korea has no heavylift capability, one can only assume chartered An-124s will be used.

If it ever does happen, I expect it'll be based around a dozen ex-KLu F-16AMs, several of which will be up for disposal soon.

Apparently there won't be a 2012 Yearbook - it seems the series has died after many years. Shame really.

111 Sqn disbandment parade March 22.
F3 OSD March 31, but that doesn't mean they'll fly after 22nd unless it's a delivery to Leeming for scrapping.

Image request: T-28 G-TROY
I have been contacted by the owner of the silver T-28 Fennec G-TROY who is looking for any images taken after Duxford's October airshow when the aircraft made a local sortie with a passenger on board.
If anyone can help please contact Simon Howell at SHowell@houlder.co.uk

Re: Leuchars to close instead of Lossie?
I'm very much afraid that I am going to stick up for Leuchars, if anyone wishes to disagree then thats up to them. Closing Leuchars is the worst possible option. I really don't see the point in wasting all that money getting the Station ready for the Typhoon then telling us and the Station personel...

Re: SDSR - this post only
Remember that Lossie is still slated to be the MOB for the F-35. Moving the Tornados to Marham makes sense and will enable work at Lossie to accommodate JSF move forward unhindered by operational constraints. IMHO the base has a more secure future than Marham.

Re: Canon Prime Lenses - Which one would you have?
Seriously, weight is an issue. With modern digital SLRs a 'fast' lens isn't as important as it used to be and any lens weighing over 3kg will start to tell after a few hours. Another factor to bear in mind in air quality - beyond 500mm few images are truly sharp in the summer 'coz the air's full of ...
