Latest news is XV255 to Norwich on Monday, XV229 to Manston on Wednesday for use in evacuation training, not the fire dump.

Cosford may get one trucked direct from Kinloss - no flight to Shawbury.

Display is definitely on for this year, but the pilot won't be announced until the display has been authorised at the end of April - this is to do with the force's QRA commitments.

Brize Norton would have been the destination for any emergency in that area as it was (and still is I think) a Master Emergency Diversion Airfield.

As said writer, the interest from the Aussies is genuine, and would be for most of the month of July. Lack of C-17 support is the biggest blocker to the plan.

KC-135E unit was the 141st ARS, New Jersey ANG. It was only the second year for the unit with the Stratotanker. It now flies R models from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
