Re: A new museum for Bristol's aviation heritage

Great news that the Freighter is back in Bristol and I look forward to seeing the aircraft when it is on display.
( Closing the M5 motorway to move it seems a bit over the top, the aircraft is in 3 pieces! )
Congratulations to the team upon this achievement.

Nice shots of interesting machines in a crowded facility. I must get there again, not having visited for about 20 years!

Re: APRES

Ken,
You seem to have omitted to mention how much % you would need to retain for costs and expenses... Might I suggest a start up to coincide with the next fiscal year at 1 April. I will be in contact when I win the lottery. :lmao:

Re: APRES

I cannot see where it states how much you are charged to be a member of this society? There is an apres Facebook page set up by the same lady with over 1,200 members! 'Caz' has flown in a light aircraft and got a Lancaster print, anyone know any more historic aviation credentials....?

Basically they are saying:- Don't give your cash to the groups who have been working and entertaining us for years as they struggle against the odds to preserve aircraft, just send your cash to us instead.
- Yeah right!

Re: Another Hunter ruined..

It is not "ruined", merely painted in a scheme the owner selected. I think it looks great, a positive step forward. When I get one I will paint it in a scheme I like too.

Well said Rampvan. The world leading trade-show aircraft line-up will be announced in due course and will be great as usual. With lots of associated items see in the new permanent buildings too. I just hope the weather behaves this year.

Taxi would be better/safer - it is a short distance across the runway but a bit hairy! The road around is a fair distance. It is an awesome place and we'll worth the effort.

I assume this is for the public weekend only, cannot find them on the trade pages, only the public pages. Presumably a taster to attract family ticket sales.

Re: Red Bull Hangar 7

Sid, I have been there to the restaurant hangar several times. Their tiered breakfast is great! You can wander around the art, cars etc and whichever aircraft are in the display hangar. During my visits early / mid morning, access was not allowed to the second hangar although you could see a lot as ...
