Re: A very quick Japan visit. Special F-4. Large post!

In addition to the above comments on the great F-4 shots, nice to see that YS-11 flying and the special nose on the C-1 (what's it for?).

Re: Rabbiting Chris Evans!

Radio 2 is looking good for just Ken Bruce's "Pop-Master", not a lot else. I used to enjoy the banter during the Drivetime afternoon shows until the changes a few months ago - Sara Cox will certainly not attract my delicate ears. LBC is often a good listen, some great heated debates, other...

Re: First Men? The Apollo Moon Landings

No doubts about this great achievement all those years ago. I watched the fuzzy images on TV, purchased the Airfix Saturn V model and many other goodies, it is a childhood memory. I cannot believe that some people have adopted conspiracy theories, why not accept that humans can actually do some wond...

I only saw it for a second, I believe it was a silver Mustang.
Certainly not the reported jet Spitfire. There was a helicopter in the same vicinity.

Thanks for that Victor, very interesting and it generated the replies you seek. I do wonder why you posted it though, what was the aim?
As you say yourself, hopefully this will be locked as a waste of time.

Re: IMPORTANT - Future of UKAR

As a heavy browser with nil knowledge of the hosting costs or procedure I am not able to add much, however, I do concur with Dan's post near the top of page one (apart perhaps from the Gods waiting room bit!). Also, if photos are the greatest cost, why keep them more than a couple of months or so - ...

Re: What's The Point Of A Forum?

Agree with Dan. Same with the "what's your favourite xyz" type messages that appear routinely from various other parties. At least this one got a few responses. Personally I have my settings at "view new posts", it would be preferable if there was a "view new aviation posts&...

Re: And the T-X winner is......

A pretty aircraft, looking forward to seeing one in the future.
(I realise it has been around in testing for a couple of years, but my immediate thoughts seeing articles today are a sort of baby F-15 / F-16 cross, with a large cockpit section).

Re: Transnistria, the country that doesn't exist

Sam, great images of what sounds like a fun trip. Do they have their own passports (passport stamp), postage stamps and defined border? Interesting to read about too. Should we assume the delightful Mig-19 is the only aviation item there?

Re: Farnborough International Airshow 2018

Farnboroughrob I would tend to agree. Anyone looking for the halcyon days when the UK had a leading aircraft manufacturing business should be at Bruntingthorpe this weekend seeing 1950's classic jets. Things change. This is positive, we now have many weekends to see aircraft from multiple decades al...

Re: 'new' warbirds on the scene

There was also the 'Mustang' destined for Italy that flew from Sywell. Starbuck, I concur that the imports/exports, ups and downs of warbirds along with changing schemes is very hard to track. There used to be a useful sort of ins/outs summary in Flypast magazine, perhaps such a listing could be rev...
