Re: F1 2019

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/50583797 Canadian Nicholas Latifi will replace Robert Kubica in the Williams driver line-up for 2020. Kubica's departure was announced in September and Latifi, 24, will partner Briton George Russell next year. Latifi has spent this season as the team's reserve d...

Prints from negatives...

I have a large number of 35mm negatives and while I also have the prints, I wonder if anyone can offer advise on how to transfer pictures from the negatives, into a digital format! I also have a few large black & white negatives that my Grandfather took during WW1 which I'd like to see if they c...

Re: 2019 General Election

"it's just I would prefer not live in a communist dictatorship" I think most of us would. Perfect example of (as with Brexit) the quality of public debate has spiralled downwards over recent years. Anyone has every right to critique Corbyn (or any politician) but the "communist dicta...

Re: 2019 General Election

It meant the BBC used dirty tactics to cover up laughing at Boris and his stupid remarks. BM. Yep, to line the pockets of the rich and help keep them there - they will no doubt thank you for your vote. BM. So many Labour supporters have had to put up with all the cuts over the last Ten years, and b...

Re: 2019 General Election

So Labour has no interest in Education, Education, Education then! When my son was at school (2001, so he was in his second year of 'big school'), before attending a Parents Evening, I took time to read his English text books and was horrified to see that his writing had become nigh on inteligible,...

Re: 2019 General Election

The NHS was created by Labour and labour has Full intention of saving it and making it the service it should be ...and all governments been saying the same thing ever since and NONE have succeeded, despite throwing £billions at it! Sorry but I see nothing that you have said that convinces me that L...

Re: 2019 General Election

I'm new to this forum and am surprised to see a political discussion, as they seem to be barred on most of the forums I follow, but having followed the discussion above, I've read nothing that would change my mind, in how I will not vote. If you are a true blue, then no amount of slagging the Tories...

I only ask, as I seem to remember reading somewhere that due to an RAF aircraft flying too low (possibly a Typhoon), flights had been stopped!

https://twitter.com/i/status/1196143146415132673 Having watched it a few times, Vettel overtakes, keeps the car in a straight line, albeit heading towards the centre of the track, defending his position and then moves back towards the right hand side of the track, presumably having felt contact. Le...

Re: F1 2019

I've yet to see evidence that Vettel altered his steering input, to cut across the nose of LeClerc. I've only seen the incident on Sky during the race but it seemed that Vettel maintained the same trajectory, rather than deliberately steering into LeClerc, just as LeClerc kept to his trajectory whic...

Airfix next release is a new 1:72 Vulcan, the Icelandic Fine Arts 1:32 Buccaneer looks good, my favourite build was not in the competition area and was of a 1:32 Hurricane with all the panels removed. Can't remember which stall it was on and didn't take any cameras so never got a picture but I perso...

Re: Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre NZ 1 Oct 2019

I've never been to Omaka (and unfortunately I'm unlikely to do so) but every time I see photographs from there, I'm always amazed and the Royal Airforce Museum (specifically Hendon) could learn a lot about displaying aircraft from them!

Re: 2019 General Election

Labour I've never voted labour and never will. Nigel Fromage's latest project of stupidness I voted to leave the EU but it was a vote against Brussels rather than any other reason so would never vote for the Brexit Party. Plus anything that is attached to Nigel Farage, is a huge turn off, plus the ...

As others have already said, its good to see the Duxford Diary has found a new home!

Thanks DCW and all you other Duxford residents, its much appreciated and may even start to contribute a few of my own, from years gone by (if that's allowed}.
