Re: Shuttleworth 03.05.09

Peter's P40 does look good.... fun watching the backwards and forwards manoevering of the US Army ambulance to get it in "just the right place" next to it for piccies. I wonder how they turned out? 'FO was indeed in the not very fetching brown and orange peeling paint scheme until last win...

Re: Old Sarum 1st March

A very nice set of pictures (once again!) and quite a challenge given the weather and the sun being quite low to the south. Difficult to pick a favourite, but hey that's a nice one of me and G-ARFO Thanks again, and nice to meet you all as well. Hope to see you later in the year when teh weather is ...

Re: Pilot Lands Sea King on Sandbags

Not a first actually... An RA E SeaKing had to be landed just like this at Farnborough, about 1989 as I recall. The crew had been practising engine failures at low altitudes, and got it slightly wrong. The SeaKing "fell" from about 30ft and bounced back into the sky, where it was recovered...

Re: Popham 14/9 - Vintage Cessna Fly-in

Much as I like the 120s, I have to say I have a very soft spot for the old straight tailed 150, 'RFO..... the again I would, she's Mine I knew the Cessna fly in was on, and the aeroplane is due for maintenance at Popham anyway, so I combined the two. Anyway, some nice pictures, and as I say, i like ...
