Re: Cad West 28th August - Mach Loop Part Deux

You should all be ashamed on this forum. I have said in the past that this forum is elitest and tbh you have just proven again that this is the case. If you see a crew doing something they shouldn't then don't share the footage. Any sh1tstorm that follows from not obeying this rule is entirely the w...

Re: Two RAF aircraft crash

As sad as it is I find it highly unlikely that they will find anyone still alive now. If they had ejected their beacons will have gone off and they will have been picked up. I have seen 2 different places now inc the Metro reporting that one of the aircrew who was airlifted has died now. This past c...

Re: Old Warden Show Cancelled

I have seen that the Daily W@1L have published the name of an Old Warden pilot - I have to say that I do not know whether this is true or not. I have made an official complaint to the Press Complaints Commission & I would recommend that as many people as possible do the same! m Both The Shuttle...

Re: Hotel at IWM Duxford?

Wasnt there a thing about the lanc not liking landing at DX. I presume this has changed if they are looking to service her at DX. As recently she always arrives and departs and doesnt touch down at DX any longer. As for the fast jets tbh it would prob be in their interest, however in modern times we...

Re: Nikon D300s v Nikon D7000??

I too would recommend a D300s I have one which I use with a 70-200 2.8 AFS with a 1.7x TC for airshow work, I am looking to get a 300mm F4 at some point as well to use with a 1.4x tc I know my PP is a matter of taste but you get the idea... http://petercollinsphotography.com/Photos/Duxford/Duxfordle...

Re: RIAT SU-27 inverted departure

If it was going to be a bird strike at that altitude then it would have been game over if he was doing a roll or not, stop being so padantic about the matter. I'm pretty sure the Su-27 would be able to cope with an engine loss at that altitude if it's performing a normal departure; it is the manoue...

Totally agree with this post, I think we have so lost our sense of perspective and so overwhelmed by Health and Safety that we cant actually enjoy anything. It was an airshow for goodness sake Not on Monday it wasn't. and for all those who cant see that and enjoy what he did then I do feel sorry fo...

Re: RIAT SU-27 inverted departure

what a load of twaddle if that is considered dangerous flying then my lord ground the fleet, the pilots obviously felt constrained that they couldnt do what they love best and show off their aircraft and their skills. To the people who thrown knickers out of their pram perhaps they would be better o...

Re: Wind Breaks - That's What They're For....

If I had my way when I see an abandoned bag/chair I would fold it up and throw it in the bin If people want a spot stay in the damn spot, if they want to walk around thats fine but dont "save" your space. They should have a van drive around to collect "abandoned" chairs and equip...

Re: Another UK Warbird leaves for the US

Stunning aircraft, but sadly until people in this country (ie: guys with deep deep wallets) put their hands in their pockets we will loose more and more of these aircraft

All comes down to money Sadly and people like Paul are not short of it and certainly not shy about using it
