Re: Your two biggest issues about RIAT 2010

No one has mentioned the Blue Car Park, on the Saturday evening it took me 2.5 hours to get out of the car park. Once I was out of the Blue car Park I was away from Fairford and on the M4 in under 20 minutes!! Apart from that, yes it would be great to have a bigger static, more topside passes, lower...

Re: Thoughts on Culdrose

Hi everyone, I have just got back from my weeks at my Mums in Cornwall and not had time to go through the photos and build a numbers log from the show. Has anyone got a list of what was there, including the Merlin with blades and tail folded early in the morning being moved from one of the hangars? ...

Hercs over Cornwall

2 x C-130 seen over Mevagissey, Cornwall so far this morning, wheels down heading for Newquay/St Mawgan. Any ideas?

Re: Thoughts on Culdrose

ok, my thoughts on this years show. The static was poorly laid out, A109 and Belgian Aloutte being prime examples of beings poorly presented with metal barriers so close it was impossible to get a photo! No RAF, AAC, French or U.S participants which is a shame. I also dont get this Culdrose thing of...

Re: Rain In Cornwall

Weather update, the last 2 days in the Mevagissey, Cornwall area have started warm and overcast, clearing mid morning to blue skies and temps up to 26 degrees, fingers crossed for Culdrose!

Re: 2010 Participation

Shame about the F-16, sounds like a trip to Newquay coming up for the Algerians! Its a real shame CU gets treated like the poor cousin of Yeovilton when it comes to the show, but I am sure the weather for the last 3 years wont have helped this! I will be there all the same, fingers crossed for sun! ...

Re: 2010 Participation

That is looking poor, I have been an avid supporter of this show through all the pants weather! Might give it a miss this year though if it doesn't pick up! It always amazes me they dont line up everything based there as well like they used to Yeovilton!

Oh well, time will tell I guess!!

Looking pretty thin full stop for Military participation this year! Nothing from the French Navy so far or anyone else for that matter, fingers crossed it will improve as we get closer!

2010 Participation

Compared to just about every other show thread Culdrose seems notoriously quiet, any info on participants?

Maybe the weather will turn up this year without 7 hours of rain or a 50 feet cloud base?!

Re: Participants

As G-CVIX says, there were 6 SHARs parked in a row, very nice, each one with different unit markings and another on the far side. If anyone managed to read off all the aircraft on the far side and the aircraft on the flight line I would like to know. Due to the rain I only logged he static on the wa...

Re: Participants

Hi everyone, all in all a good show yesterday, although once again suffering from typical Lizard weather! A good soaking almost all day but the sun eventually broke through at about 16.00. The die hards amongst us got to see the BALBOA although missing most of the fixed wing participants, we also go...

How many are there now then, I take it the one that went Tech is still on the ground? What are my chances of seeing these on Sunday as I make my way down the M4 on holiday?
