Re: Daks Over Normandy - June 2019
Is the airfield/museum open as usual for public and members? Is the fee to do flightline walks up close and personal?

Re: Graf Zeppelin's Day Job... (Or 'Tote-ing for Business!')
Congratulations on a great job - it looks wonderful. That the room remains itself was quite remarkable, but restoring it to such a standard is fantastic. Hopefully it will be treated with respect over coming years and non-serving people will get the opportunity to witness the results of the hard work.

I like those.
That futuristic looking aircraft will hopefully catch on one day. It did seem to be ahead of its time back when first announced over 35 years ago!

Re: Gatwick Airport Closed Due to Drones
As the airport is shut a recce by drone is possible. Why not employ an anti-drone drone or an armed officer to get rid of the device, then check the wreck for prints etc. This is costing a very large amount in terms of cash and inconvenience. Perhaps things are being done already?

In addition to the above comments on the great F-4 shots, nice to see that YS-11 flying and the special nose on the C-1 (what's it for?).

I only saw it for a second, I believe it was a silver Mustang.
Certainly not the reported jet Spitfire. There was a helicopter in the same vicinity.

As a heavy browser with nil knowledge of the hosting costs or procedure I am not able to add much, however, I do concur with Dan's post near the top of page one (apart perhaps from the Gods waiting room bit!). Also, if photos are the greatest cost, why keep them more than a couple of months or so - ...

A pretty aircraft, looking forward to seeing one in the future.
(I realise it has been around in testing for a couple of years, but my immediate thoughts seeing articles today are a sort of baby F-15 / F-16 cross, with a large cockpit section).

Sam, great images of what sounds like a fun trip. Do they have their own passports (passport stamp), postage stamps and defined border? Interesting to read about too. Should we assume the delightful Mig-19 is the only aviation item there?
