Re: Classic Air Force
The UK Heritage Aviation Trust is a brand new organisation with the principle aim of restoring vintage aircraft to the best condition possible, in line with CAA regulations. Although not formally a trust, we hope to become one by the end of the year, as well as selling our merchandise on our soon t...

Re: Classic Air Force
Going off recent FB posts, the 'Trust' seems to be an enthusiast who thinks that setting up production of new Ghost, Goblins and Darts is a viable idea. The "Trust" first came into existence in 2015 as a Facebook group set up by a couple of people who wanted to educate the public on the i...

How about a petition to ask the RAF to take it to Scampton as a ground runner

Re: Classic Air Force
Unfortunately it looks like we have lost out on the Jet Provosts, Meteors and Vampire/Venoms that were for sale
From the UK Trust Facebook page tonight, sounds as if the jets in question have now been sold, one can only hope to someone or a group in the Uk.

Donation sent, I first encountered the Sea Vixen a couple of years ago down at Yeovilton what a lovely old fast jet. I hope the team who look after it can keep it flying for many years to come

Said Typhoon was parked up on the flight line yesterday with a number of two seat examples, all of them flew at around 3pm expect Gina which seemed to be having a lot of attention from ground crew.

Re: Shackleton WR963 - [Official Topic]
What a shame it has come to this, the entire project has become a total mess, but one has to ask why were so called unauthorised runs taking place, and on more than one occasion, someone somewhere was allowing this, not wishing to be flippant but a Shackleton does not fire its own engines and system...

Firstly a new commentator who can actually see what is going on, this years commentator well the less said the better I'm afraid, All this talk of Viggen / Draken well we would all like to see them and the F104 from Norway should it ever get back into the sky but can we actually see the CAA allowing...

One wonders how long it will be before all RAF display flying ends with the exception of BBMF and the Red Arrows.

Re: RAF Scampton Air Show 2017
I think potentially airworthy is a fairer description. I don't think the Buccaneer has run its engines in many years, probably since its arrival at Scampton. However the Su22 was certainly doing anti det runs up until a few years ago, I don't know if they have continued? The Su22 was in the Scampto...

QNH ?
Still a bit new to all this, while at Fairford on Wednesday a guy next to us had a scanner and ATC were talking to pilots about QNH, sorry to sound a bit daft but what does this actually mean.

Re: Canberra WK163 to be restored to flight
To ensure WK163 is not exposed to the elements any more than she needs to be, we have appointed contractors ahead of having the full funding in place to cover the dismantling, transport and re-assembly of the aircraft, so we can get the aircraft under cover at Doncaster just as soon as possible. Th...

Someone added me to one of the airshow freeloading groups on facebbok last year, I got ripped to bits on it for being "silly" enough to pay for tickets when better photos could be taken from outside, a couple of things came to mind 1, I am not intrested in taking photos other than the odd ...

£2.50 for a hot drink and £8 for a pork roll, I need to get myself a burger van I'm in the wrong line of work On a serious note I had my own food with me and a flask of coffee, I'm trying to eat sensibly at the moment and at those sort of prices at least I won't get tempted to eat fast food.

What really gets me is looking at Facebook and indeed this site is that people said last year the commentator was not able to view what was going on and yet it seems the same this year, makes you ask if feedback actually will be taken on board and acted upon.

Flare path, I'm not sure what more the people at Cosford could have done, event in Denmark seemed to get most of the fast jet displays and CAA said no to Viggen and J29, Meteors were booked but owner self grounded them to save cash, you and I can agree the RAF should have given more to the only RAF ...

I'm taking Wellies with me, will drive down in a nice comfy pair of shoes and then decide between wellies or a normal pair of boots once I've seen the conditions on the airfield.
