Something different - mountain flying in Tyrol (GA, gliders)

Hey everyone, did not post anything in a while - thats because we don`t see many airshows in my region...so I had to stick to some general aviation available around the corner Some shots in no particular order from a rather scenic place not commonly seen on here - LOIR Reutte aerodrome in northern T...

...some from Sion Airshow - Switzerland

Hey everyone, Only usual suspects in the shots from this airshow except the wonderful Mirage III maybe which is a rare sight, for me at least. Still had enough reasons to drive to Sion like seeing my all-time favorite display team racing their MB339s through the valley before they get replaced. I mu...

Fantastic photos will post some of mine later but looking at my results I must admit you have some real stunners in that set! Thanks for sharing! Re: RIAT17 - do airshows get any better?

I am unable to answer that question since I have not been there but what I can say is the shots won't get any better than this ... fantastic!! May I ask what equipment was used?(I know that the photographer is the more important factor but still I'm curious to know)

Some decent shots there thanks for posting! Maybe try being more selective, instead of showing a whole sequence pick just the best shots for the forum. This way it won't get repetitive!

Re: F-16 engine failure at Zeltweg

Dont get me wrong this is not about sensationalism or making a fuss about a minor incident. The video is not mine by the way! I just can't believe no one else but a few spotters took note of the 'unusual' afterburner, and the same jet suffering an engine malfunction (better word ) on the next day is...

F-16 engine event at Zeltweg

Hello, Just returned from the Airpower show in Zeltweg and I have some questions concerning the Belgian F-16. On the first showday we noticed from some moment on during the display the afterburner looked unusual. A long thin flame could clearly be seen despite the sunny weather. I would expect such ...

Re: Airpower '16

I dont know an exact time but the car parks definitely open before the gates, I guess at least an hour before. Traffic especially on saturday is massive so come early! Usually the motorway exit Zeltweg west is less popular so it maybe a good idea to use this exit. There was no immediate closing of t...

Re: Airpower '16

For arrival and training days I usually go to Flatschacher Strasse road which is very near to the 26 end of the runway (90% movements from that side usually) - you get really close to landing and lining up aircraft there but it does get very crowded and to capture aircraft lining up a ladder is need...

According to this article the Airpower airshow in Zeltweg will take place in 2016. No further detail except the statement that it will take place in fall and there will be a press conference on October 19. Quite surprising and not the best source but there is hope!

UK Charters in the Mountains (LOWI)

Hi everyone, Not the best charter season for me as winter did not see a lot of snow in this part of the country so while I spent my time skiing, hoping and waiting for fresh white backgrounds at the airport the last bits melted away and the season is already almost over…. Almost, as there are still ...
