Re: RAF to acquire 12 MPA possibly not single type - report

You can't fight extremism with military I believe what Cameron is trying to achieve via military means is to disrupt the hierarchy of these organisations. He wants to stop the planning of Tunisian terrorist type acts via disruption tactics. Stop extremism with this one action, not really achievable.

Re: Brownfield Building Permission to Build

The problem is first and foremost, people need somewhere to live. A job is secondary! The problem is that this development will be likely to be one huge housing estate, no open/play spaces. No shops. No GP's. Possibly a school. Probably no place of worship. Dare I mention a pub.... Building homes is...

The Kuwaiti F-18's rate highly on my personal list of RIAT rarities!

Off-topic still, didn't Singapore send a Hercules in 1994 for the 40th anniversary of the Hercules.

Re: RIAT Weather Outlook

2008 was refunded for everyone. As a bonus there was an extra thing for FRIAT members at Farnborough. Would personally have preferred an option to get an exchange for 2009 tickets. Now most money ended up in bankers' pockets. I got the automatic refund with no option to refuse the refund. I would h...

Re: Why Some Aircraft Aren't Open At Airshows

Remember the Merlin that lost a push-out door/window panel on takeoff - after it had been loosened by a 'visitor' at an airshow. Nearly a very nasty incident if it had hit someone..... Ken At the Galway airshow. I was there! The luck was the fact the crowd had dispersed quite a lot after the show a...

HMG wanted to carry out airstrikes against the legitimate Syrian Govt. in support of the insurgents There is in my understanding 3 main groups in Syria, the Syrian Government (Assad forces), the insurgents (Anti-Assad forces) and ISIL/ISIS (Crazies). These groups can be formed of different or suppo...

An amazing airshow, an awesome thread bringing back such memories. The GAF Orange Canberra, Mirages of various marks, Hercules line-ups, and others nearly all jog memories of IAT/RIAT/ATI. The one show I do miss was the ATI's at Boscombe Down. Seeing the SU-25 for my first time. Thanks for sharing t...

Can I also suggest to the OP, it is best to state in the topic title whether this is a For Sale or a Wanted item.

That way the people looking at the page are more likely to be the right person to do a deal with!

It is probably a useful suggestion to any would-be topic starter in this section.

Re: Textron’s Scorpion Heads To UK For RAF, Royal Navy Trial

The maritime role for this aircraft could be a good fit for the current type of wars being fought. During a recent conflict a USN P-3 used a small precision guided munition (PGM) at close range to attack a sea surface target. That is quite an asset to put into the short range battle space! The Scorp...

Check curtain shutter sync setup, as the problem described sounds an awfully like this setup. If it is a settings...
