Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2018 - [Main Topic]
This is not a criticism, just an enquiry, but as the website states - "RAF100 will be the sole theme for the flying display at the RAF Cosford Air Show 2018. With 100 years of history to cover, the programme will include a huge number of historic Royal Air Force aircraft. The flying display pro...

I see P&V tickets are also available for the Tuesday on the event website, so does that mean I now need my Mach3 membership plus a one day P&V for the Tuesday ?

Re: RIAT 2018 discussion
Shelters are allowed to be bought into the event up to 1.5 metres in height as are step ladders however they are not allowed within 10m of the crowdline (apart from in the P&V step ladder enclosure) so that they do not obstruct to the view of others. This will be policed and should the problem ...

Quick search of Titan Mustangs on GINFO and it looks like it might be G-FION.

Nice to see a selection from a different location. Not really into airliner types but always thought the EMB120 was quite a nice looking design, don't see many around.

Re: Radial And Trainer Fly-In V: 29-30th April 2017
Hi Andrew, Quick Question - looking at the web site, it gives the opening times for the event and car parks as 10:00 for both - what time will the car parks open for earlier arrivals as I can't imagine that cars queuing down Crab Lane would go down well? I am obviously particularly interested in Ca...

Re: Radial And Trainer Fly-In V: 29-30th April 2017
Just a reminder for anyone heading to this event this weekend, this is not a stand alone fly in. The Radial & Trainer Fly In is essentially part of the 'Wings' element of a Wings & Wheels Style Event. As such there will be no airside access, anyone popping on a bib and trying to get airside ...

Re: Radial And Trainer Fly-In V: 29-30th April 2017
Just a quick update for those of you asking about access etc. For the safety plan, as it is an active airfield with a Fly In planned with aircraft arriving and departing at various times throughout both days there is no airside access. However the picnic area by the tower is being extended greatly (...

Re: Radial And Trainer Fly-In V: 29-30th April 2017
Parking plans are in progress with quite a bit of the parking off site but close, plus the area that you referred to as overspill which for the photographers puts you nearer the 34 threshold for touch down or turn off pics with the sun in the right position. Parking plans and airfield layout diagram...

Pleased to say there will be access, with plenty to see as the fly in will be the aviation element of a returning wings and wheels type event.

I'm afraid I don't know what has been arranged in terms of access for next week, I'm sure Peter R will be able to provide you with some guidance.
These were all taken through the fence from the public road alongside the airfield and focal length ranged from 100mm up to 500mm.

Hope everyone has a great day next week, afraid I can't go due to family hospital taxi duties so popped over yesterday for a final Jaguar fix. Despite the pretty poor weather still great to see a couple of live Jaguars for a last time. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cqts9XlWAAAkKiq.jpg https://pbs.twim...

Re: Want do YOU want to see at RAF Cosford in 2017..?
A few suitable static items / visiting helis / aircraft on temporary tracking placed between the 06 taxiway and adjacent trees. Aircraft pointing east / north east so that three quarter or head on type shots are possible with an uncluttered natural background. Sun position wouldn't matter with proxi...

Some real positive news anf I appreciate it doesn't cover display lines so the 'bend' probably won't come back but I wonder if it covers display heights as well as lateral separation.

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2016 - [Official Topic]
I think the culmination of how terrible this show was, is deeply rooted in the inclusion of the Rans S-6 Coyote II in the flying programme at a major military air event - the only RAF show. Very sad to see. . Very sad for you maybe but very proud for many from the local communities and local pupils...

Re: Park & View East questions
I like P&V West (quieter) but don't forget not everything gets that far, many items turn off both north and south at the midpoint taxiways. Part of the fun, but sometimes frustrating when you can see a gem landing to the east only for it never to appear at the western end. For me its worth the c...
