Looks great, Arma Hobby are certainly turning out some very nice kits. Love the staining/weathering, just right.

It sounds as though the top brass at the UN ought to be informed, I'm sure there are conventions banning those sorts of stockpiles! :D

Great work Ian, that shelf of Victors is a sight to behold!

Have you registered your nuclear capable fleet with the relevant authorities?? :)

Lovely model, very well done. If my "to build" pile weren't so high I'd be purchasing one myself.

Re: Mosquito PZ474 on the move

It will be interesting to see what the reason for these sales turns out to be, I could understand one or two sales and a bit of horse trading but selling a chunk of the fleet at once (especially including the Mossie) seems odd.

Thanks RR, interesting history. A bit of Googling suggests it's now in storage with the museum at Pensacola.

A very interesting selection, thanks for sharing these.

Very interesting airship gondola/engine test-bed thingy, do you happen to know the history and what became of it?

Nice work Derek, I admire your rigging skills. Have to admit I usually shy away from biplanes due to all the rigging and struttery.

Not a kit you see many builds of.

Re: Found in the loft!

Someone's trying to sell the same Comet kit online for nearly £50  Surely not? The trouble with online kit prices is that people will often dream up a figure and see what happens. I wouldn't have said the Comet kit was worth £50 unfortunately, in fact I think it's recently been re-issued in ...

Sticking my neck out into the slipstream of the discussion... I'll start by saying that I don't mean any ill-will towards anyone involved with CWJC and the the various groups that it's made up of, I feel very deeply about aviation heritage and all the effort that goes into it at Brunty and everywher...

Agree about the looks of the F14, it knocks everything else of its era into a cocked hat.

A few spring to mind... The old Dutch F27 Troopship display used to be a real eye opener; smoke trails, low passes, one engine shut down etc. Amazing what you can do with a regional airliner! The first time I saw the TFC P38 display at Dux, think it was '94. Having heard all sorts of derogatory thin...

Yes, lots of rotary-wing activity over Kent lately with these Apaches and several Chinooks. Saw the two Apaches last night within a few minutes of each other heading off east over the Medway around 8pm.

As far as I'm aware the Messerschmitt Stiftung D-B powered 109's are non-airworthy at the moment. Their famous "FM+BB" had been going through a lengthy overhaul and was then sold, the G-10 was damaged a few years ago and is still grounded and "Red 7" has had engine gremlins. The ...

We have had multiple Chinooks over Kent in the last couple of days/nights, including one very swift night time visit to the RE Barracks at Gillingham.

Can't beat the sound of approaching Wokka's, certainly brings the neighbours out.

Fairey Firefly, deffo not T67.

One Firefly ended up in Canada with Shearwater Aviation Museum. It was being restored to fly but was badly damaged during taxiing trials, not sure what's become of it since.

Yes, a significant day.

The flight was Captained by a British pilot, Walter "Hinch" Hinchliffe, who had lost an eye while flying with the RNAS. He later went missing attempting a crossing of the Atlantic in company with Aviatrix Elsie Mackay.
