Red Flag 17-1, NAS Fallon, Rainbow trip *Large Post*

Well I've been away on various trips yet again. The post for this trip was at the tail end of January leading into the first week if February. I met up with a bunch of friends who flew over from the UK and it was one heck of a road trip! We covered Nellis AFB for Red Flag 17-1, Coyote Summit, NAS Fa...

QF-4 Retirement ceremony at Holloman AFB sneak peak.

December 21st 2016... I was fortunate enough to visit Holloman AFB in New Mexico for the very last QF-4 flight. The day with sadly a heavy back lit overcast made photography very difficult. But just being there for the event was worth the long trip. The day was to consist of a four ship doing a few ...

Were we at the same show? How did you get non-backlit shots on numbers 8, 9, 11, 12? I guess I would have to disagree on the clouds. If anything, they helped the horrible backlit conditions by making the light more flat. Great set of shots! Sorry for the delay.. Yeap those shots were taken outside ...

Last day of Green Flag and some Canyon work

Hello everyone.. Last instalment of my trip to Nellis for the last day of Green Flag, Aviation Nation, NAS Fallon and of course a short trip to Rainbow/Starwars Canyon/ Jedi transition. This last thread is a mixture of Green Flag arrivals and departures with a few shots of what I saw at the Canyon i...

Aviation Nation, Nellis AFB 2016 in 1500x

Hello again! Many many thanks for the comments on my post about our latest trip to NAS Fallon during November! Today I've created a photo album about Aviation Nation 2016. The show had some heavy cancellations like the ER-2, Supper Guppy, F-104 and a last minute Mig-21.. The show pulled in some heav...

NAS Fallon visit November 2016 1500x

I'm back again after another few weeks of travels.. This post will be the first of three which will include Starwars/Jedi transition and Aviation Nation held at Nellis AFB later in the week as I sort through the photos. This being the first was a base visit to NAS Fallon in Northern Nevada. The base...

Good to see you again Peter on the Bus at Nellis main gate! I had a feeling the 35 was going to make a run through the canyon on Monday after the show. But sadly I had to fly home that day. Excellent set of shots you have here!

Good to see you completed the kit! For a bugger of a kit, with a little time the finished build can look rather nice. You have done a good job on it.

Re: 1:144 Scale GB

Hey guys... I'll be fully honest here... I think what killed any mojo for me here in the 1/144 build... I started out with much enthusiasm but once I ran into snags on just the X-29 and the Tiger Typhoon kits. I realised I just could not get the results of a built kit that I wanted! Sure the two kit...
