Re: JFEX and Nellis Weapons School Sneak Peek

Many thanks for the looks and comments everyone. So here are my best shots of a quick visit to the Rainbow Canyon for one day where I finally caught my first low level F-35. From there one day up in Northern Nevada for JFEX and one evening at Nellis AFB. 4. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4272/3520178...

Re: JFEX and Nellis Weapons School Sneak Peek

Very nice! Looks like you were able to catch some chaff as well Caught some Chaff!!! That I sure did.. The stuff started pouring all over me. Thankfully no flares, but all the aluminium bits sounded like glass falling to the ground. This shot is more of a record shot showing 6 of the C-17s leaving ...

Re: Revell 1/32 Focke-Wulf Fw190D-9

Looks great Derek and good to see you using an airbrush. Just a tip on the smoke... Over the years I have used with Tamyia Smoke, I really thinned it out with acrylic thinners to the point it was almost water. From there I basically layered the smoke paint till I got what I wanted. I've found that d...

Happy weekend everyone! Sorry for the late reply to this thread as I have had some serious computer issues last week! Many many thanks for the comments! The show being small and having the sun run right down the centre of the runway most of the day was a bit of a letdown.... But the short flying dis...

Barksdale AFB Open house Updated with more pictures

Just a sneak 3 picture peak at where I was just last weekend. I was able to attend the Barksdale AFB open house for 2017. The main draw this year being "Doc" the second B-29 on the circuit and even better a "Boeing" flypast consisting of the B-17, B-29 and the B-52! So before I g...

2017 CF-18 demo/Spring Training

On Wednesday I was able to visit CFB Comox to watch the 2017 CF-18 and Snowbirds spring training. I know most of you will not be able to see this beautiful jet unless you make your way over to this side of the pond for a show or two.. If you do, you are in for a treat of a display and wow! doesn't t...

Well now... I've been away from this section for quite some time! Between travelling and work.. I have had hardly anytime to work on kits. Well that is about to change! First kit to be finished in 2017 and I have had this one on the go for a long time. Finished today is the Academy 1/32 F-16i SUFA. ...

I just went through all my messages going back to 2011. Sadly the last message back from Alan was May 2014 and I do have a message in my outbox that has sat there since 2015. We did meet at Cosford once with his wife and children (Great Family) and at two RIATs. We communicated through UKAR Messages...

Hi Rod, Great photo's. I'll be flying out for Red Flag 4 in August and plan an afternoon at Rainbow and the day wave at Coyote. Could I ask if the F16 was the only trade you got at Coyote or were there other longer distance movements? Was the location worth it? Cheers, Andrew Coyote in August!! Be ...
