Anyway got to go to work now ( and yes I am getting paid today before anybody asks ) PS You sure I can't tempt you back Damien? Come on in the waters lovely!! Seriously though you may want...

Re: British Airways in trouble? Newspaper story.

Tangoringo, your comments regarding your company's competitors, on a public forum, are grossly unprofessional. Your descent into personal insults levelled at a former customer of your company is worrying. If I were to be found doing the same regarding the global company I work for and its competito...

Re: British Airways in trouble? Newspaper story.

Hi 2shae From Flight International:- Investigators believe a newly bereaved Ryanair captain's psychological state, combined with his co-pilot's inexperience, led to an unplanned and highly unstable approach to Rome during poor weather conditions. Italy's ANSV investigation agency says the captain's ...

Re: RAF Airshows - where are we going?

then lo and behold for a one off families day we get 2 Vicky 10s pointlessly formating with the Vulcan for a handful of people. How can that be? I thought it was a nice idea actually to reward the hard working RAF crew as part of the Brize Norton families day, but hey ho Agreed, are you aware that ...

Goodwood Festival of Speed

Had a really good week this week.... Free pilots enclosure pass to RIAT. Found that first day of hols in Cornwall coincides with Yeovilton which we will just happen to be passing enroute AND got a day pass from the missus to go to the Goodwood FOS. Does anybody know if anything is booked on the airs...

White Waltham Airshow 2009

Anybody any news on the above?

I've been asked to help out with our company hot air balloon on the 5th September but have not heard a squeak about this event.

Any news?

Re: British Airways in trouble? Newspaper story.

So you're baseing everything on experiences of 7 years ago eh? Good basis for an argument that one. Maybe I'll just compare my photos from a 1Mp digital camera with a new 15Mp job? Even as recently as a year and a half ago I would have had more sympathy for your arguement with our customer service b...

Re: British Airways in trouble? Newspaper story.

As much as I feel for the employees, this is one airline that deserves to fail. It lost the moral right to be called 'British' many years ago. Good riddance - in advance. Pray tell Damien why this is so and have you flown with BA recently? Why does it deserve to fail and why has it lost the 'moral ...

Re: Ryanair's latest scam...

I've only flown BA once (on our Honeymoon) and was quite disappointed, we went to California, and on the way out we were in a nice relatively modern 747-400 - but on the way back it was a rather shabby 747-200 (ok skin deep) - everything seemed to rattle on take off etc - and very old .... Bloody '...

After the Ryanair flt had its contra temps with a flock of Italy's finest ruing Mrs Boeing's 'shiny new' 73 I'm not sure Miss Runway was the most apt title for December . What next? January:- Miss Ingbags February:- Miss Edyourflightcosyouweretoolatecheckingin. March:- Miss Edmostofthebirdsmisterole...

Hi Bear,

Great shots of something a bit different.

Could you remind me. Is this the museum that is just down from the Nags head? From Threshers you pop down past Madame Abdullahs massage parlour, turn left, past the church and then just round the corner. If so, must pay it a visit  .

Re: BA worst for cancellations?

Not surprised really when it operates out of a balls up like Heathrow!!

A pigeon "Kris Kris Tofferson!" in Slough and a/c start diverting all over the South of England to airports that have that bizarre thing called spare capacity....One thing LHR is sadly lacking!

I think the line "Its crew had detected a burning smell." in your link tells you all you need to know. Why you think a diversion is a shock I do not know! As was said 'SR111'. Because of a fault with the in-flight entertainment system!!!!!! I kid you not! BBC Link to story Quite agree, bu...
