Re: Eastbourne a bit late by sfw. Update!

Harking back to the exif problem...
I'm using Firefox and I right click on the image.
I'm given a range of options, one of which is 'view image info' but no mention of exif
If I select that another box opens showing its location and size but nothing more.
What am I missing? Please help

Already tried that. All I got was image info. No mention of exif. Info only gave the image size

Re: Eastbourne a bit late by sfw.

Great shots. Presumably a bit late due to your processing being as slow as your shutter speed! I'm stunned. What speed were you using?

Re: Eastbourne - Saturday

Interesting comment about how close they were. Seen from Beachy Head on Sunday the Typhoon display was well outside the display line. It seemed to be over the little boats. One other thought about the weather. The cloud may have helped a bit because you can be looking right into the sun when the sky...

I'm not happy with this but can't explain why. Can anybody offer advice?

Re: Newcastle from above

Definitely different and mostly very good. I thought the background in some was confusing but the first one of the Reds would have been a cracker if the sun had been shining. Oh well, there's always next year.

Re: Beachy Head/ Eastbourne Sunday - my take on it

My originals looked like your posts. At first I thought it was due to the hazy conditions but a bit of 'adjustment' mainly to the contrast made them look better (to me at any rate!)

Re: Beachy Head/ Eastbourne Sunday - my take on it

Looking at those shots I think you must have been standing very close to me and pressing the shutter at the same moment.
Amen to your comments about Jonathan. Did anyone get any pictures of Miss D as she went past? Most of us seemed to have got bits of tail or nose!

Re: Eastbourne from Beachy Head

#7 is my favourite.
I don't think the weather was kind to any of us this year and that Spitfire didn't come near the Head on Sunday.

Airbourne - Sunday from Beachy Head - more added

Bit of a dead loss this year. Many a/c did not come near us and there was a lot of low cloud in the way. During much of the Red Arrows display we only knew where they were by seeing their shadows on the water in front of the display centre. I will be interested in seeing Sunday's pictures taken from...

Thank you (not) for
a) making me feel like an novice photographer
b) turning me green with envy wishing I had been there
Great pictures and thank you for showing them. There was no danger of baling out before the end!

Re: RIAT Saturday from Totterdown

Great shots, somewhere else for next years 'camp' shortlist. Hmmm...Yes I did see some interesting views but there seemed to be just as many frustrating moments as you get from any other viewpoint. Many of the fast jets were little grey triangles and the poor lighting didn't help. I wqs surprised a...

RIAT Saturday from Totterdown

Unable to go to the proper display I decided to give Totterdown a try. The weather wasn't too helpful - lots of grey aeroplanes against a grey sky but there were a few brighter patches. Regardless of the photo opportunities it was an interesting place to be as many of the a/c came right overhead mak...

Flying Legends 2013 - a few that haven't appeared yet

I had hoped to go Saturday and Sunday but spent the Friday night and the small hours of Saturday staging Sweet Peas for the National show at Harrogate ( another of my obsessions) and had to settle for Sunday only. A lot of my stuff duplicates what has already appeared (and are not so good) so here a...

Re: Your Year in Five

Fortunately others have covered the Vulcan at Eastbourne and the RE8 and Albatros at Old Warden so here's a few of the others from a mainly grey year Brain Smith and Alistair Kay at Dunsfold. If you look at a close-up of Alistair's face you can see it wearing the biggest grin! http://i268.photobucke...

Shuttleworth Oct 8 - Off Piste

As so many of my pictures seem to duplicate those already posted I've put up ' something completely different'. during the hiatus between the Hunter and the Edwardians I went for a walk around to the other side next to the farm to see what the view was like from there and to see if I could get a dec...

I took this one last year. At the show it was so far away and so quick that you didn't notice that the hands were clear of the wing.

Those are really nice but I didn't think the Vulcan was the highlight. Maybe I've seen it too often and been disappointed that they never give us a good look at the topside.

A very nice set. My favourite was the head-on shot of the Hunter and Sea Fury.
You must have had a low shutter speed a very steady hand to get those pictures of the cars! what did you use?
