Re: RIAT 2025

I hope they do fix the issues with the Apache's, as that will mean all the ones already confirmed will be cancelled. I do like a role demo as it shows the aircraft in action, rather than a display. I was gutted it was cancelled at Cosford. Dutch Apaches are back airborne again, so are the AAC ones,...

Re: RIAT 2025

I know people Will go “uhhhh more helis” but tbh there apaches so being an attack heli they instantly have that over say an NH90. Plus they have pyro (should). Adds a role demo to the list rather than a display of sorts so could be interesting. I for one was more gutted about it cancelling cosford ...

Re: RIAT 2025

Well lets wait and see, until it gets officially confirmed (hopefully does). We have had this is a few times over the last couple of years where a display self confirms, just for Riat to then come out and say contrary to that, they are indeed not coming to the show. But if it happens, nice to get a ...

Re: RIAT 2025

Our only hope is that in the next couple of years they adopt a similar stance to Germany, where they have massively increased airshow participation around Europe. France have some really good aircraft and displays, just seem to be some of the hardest to get! Even though they are just round the corne...

Re: RIAT 2025

Has anyone seen if Frecce are back to 10 display jets yet? Or if they even plan to? On one of the photo forums they seem to have displayed as a 9, just wondering if that was a 'one off' on the day, or if it gradually going back up to 10, or if the plan is 9 for the rest of the year? Although the mai...

Re: Oshkosh and Milwaukee 2025

Certainly one to look out for. I would need to learn how it all works at Oshkosh, seems like it isn't just your run of the mill airshow. Would love to catch mainly the USAF/Navy etc that aren't the official display teams. I've watched so many videos and seen stuff like B-1 display, twilight takeoff ...

Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 21st & 22nd June

Let’s hope the Apache demo is ‘fixed’ in time. One of the main reasons I’m going to this show is for them. Only place I’m able to see it currently!

One year I will have to risk not doing Riat and do Oshkosh.

Get some really weird and wacky stuff there!

Re: RIAT 2025

Well I have to say, although the French have decided to only send one aircraft recently to the show. An E-3 from the Airforce and Atlantique II from the Navy is unreal. I just hope they change in the next couple of years to allow more aircraft to come ! They have some real gems

They’ve appeared at Farnborough before on static , they’re not small.

The U-2 has a wingspan of 31m, the G520 is bigger at 33m
Bloody hell! Fair enough. Hope it arrives on the Thursday so I don't miss it

The Grob 520 series are a weird looking bunch, think U-2 with a propeller on the front.
I'd never heard of them before. Is the wing span similar to a U-2?

Looking forward to seeing what this looks like, a new one on me

Re: RIAT 2025

To the extent that people were saying that the show is lacking a “star” item, the ATL2 must surely be it? I saw the ATL2 demo on the weekend at Hyeres - sounds great, looks great, shows off lots of angles (including a big topside). Very good indeed. Lovely stuff, DBH 👏🏻 It is much more like it, ver...
