Re: RIAT Cones - what colour?

Re: Star of the show

I went on Sunday. The star for me was "Tango", thats the name I gave the F-16 Despite going up in what was the worst of the weather (heavy wind and rain) the display was magic. That aircraft is so unhinged it's simply amazing to watch it. The Vulcan gave everyone heart failure with it's &q...

Re: Constructive improvements for next year.

I came in and out of the show on the red route, I got there at 7:15am and got in and parked on hard standing within 10 minutes (I was on a motorbike), I left at 5pm and it took 40 minutes to get out but I think that was mainly due to a car vs pedestrian accident. I was overwhelmed by how easy it was...

Re: Worst RIAT ever?

Well Sunday was my first time at RIAT which I guess was good as I had no expectations except what I read on here prior to going. Yes the weather was horrible and stopped a lot of planes displaying but thats what happens in Britain so it didnt dampen my spirits. I thought the pilots that did take the...

Re: A few RIAT Questions

Hi Mike, fellow biker! With regards to filtering... I kinda meant when I am in the queue to get in at the gates. Wondered if it would be unacceptable to sneak up to the front there, on the roads is a different matter... do it everyday, I'm a courier I did my IAM and ROSPA riding a few years ago now,...

Re: A few RIAT Questions

Well... I phoned up RIAT customer services and they said they have reserved a small area of hard standing for motorcycles but it will only take about 20 bikes and is on a first come basis.... so I'm getting there at 4am and chaining myself to the gates Heres an example of my lense in action for the ...

Re: A few RIAT Questions

I know, I left it terribly late. I bought the tickets months ago with a view to just riding down on the day as Milton Keynes isn't that far but my friend is travelling from Harrow and is useless at getting out of bed so announced at the last minute we needed a stop over and should go down Saturday n...

Re: A few RIAT Questions

I know bikers annoy lots of people and I don't want someone beating me up because I filtered to the front of the queue to get in, not sure how acceptable that would be LOL Fantastic news about the Harriers, thanks Davers thats made me a happy bunny! Have not seen a Harrier fly since Shoreham 2005! T...
