Re: Rhyl Airshow

BAE Families Day disappear from Woodford & Broughton

Broughton's back this year Banksy, September 5th, celebrating 40 years of Airbus. (Filton the following week).

Back on topic, I shall do my best to get the family down to sunny Rhyl and support the event.

agreed, avoid ebay, go for 7dayshop. If anything they're better than the Canon originals, and there are many satisfied punters among the UKAR community.

Re: Update Today?

Yes, I'm looking forward to it.

The lack of support from some of the NATO countries is odd; the only Belgian participation at the moment is the guy in the hat. It not as if they aren't supporting shows elsewhere. Maybe there's another update to come.

That GWAD gunner doesn't look very well does he? looks a bit air sick to me There's tons of interest in these shots Paul; details, stuff we don't often see. Great stuff. The first Spit shot is something special. Trees behind, gear up, canopy back Were you trying to catch flames on start up with that...

Re: What did you think of this years Show

Amazing how just about every single show this year has had enormous crowds, can't JUST be the effect, surely? I think first and foremost its the weather. Especially after last year. The Vulcan has an effect, and thirdly people being more cautious with money this year means they're booking less holi...

Re: Airpower 09 Zeltweg Live feed now.

that B-25 is smart, you can't have too much natural metal.

In fact, while I'm thinking about it, EADS should send their warbirds to Legends too, because they can also afford it. Come on, we've got thousands of EADS emplyees in the UK.

This feed is just brilliant

Red Bull should really send their warbird fleet to Legends. They can afford it, no excuses!

The quality of this feed is astonishing, way better than anything I've seen on the web before, quality wise. I think I've just seen the future.

Some top quality flying in a lovely setting too.

quite frankly i really don't care about the vulcan or sea vixen, they just don't do a thing for me

to each their own, we're all different, etc.. but for an aircraft enthusiast not to be even a little bit excited watching those fly I find a bit peculiar!

That last one is a bit special, the texture over the aircraft surfaces, and pin sharp too.

A nice set of photographs, as just about all of the Kemble posts have been. A great advert for the event.

Fly Navy 100 years celebration without the Navy History... Interesting. Can't be helped, the aircraft aren't airworthy at the moment, which is a real shame in the centenary year. At least the Seafire and brilliant Sea Vixen are in there. A good update today. I haven't seen a USAF C-17 demo since th...

Re: No Wait. It Can't be another Cosford Set...

Well they're certainly sharp, Pat. I wouldn't think of doing it any other way than sharpening last, I'll have to give it a try the other way round. Typical, after I've spent hours processing many 'keepers' from Cosford this week

I like the JPs, I didn't get to see those on Sunday.

Re: Cosford 2009.... What did you think?

At 6pm there were probably around 30,000 people on site. If even quite a small percentage of those were to visit the museum then that would be more visitors than the museum would get in a bog standard day. The economics are as always; a proportion of visitors will buy something in the cafe/shop. Fur...

Not sure whether that was tongue in cheek reply? No, that's not tongue in cheek, they're serious believe it or not. I tried to wander in just before six last year and got precisely the same line, "we close at 6, today's no different". I thought they may have had a change of heart this yea...

Cosford from my angle

My angle being crowdline, just to the right of centre Most Cosford bases have been well and truly covered by many high quality posts already, but I couldn't let a show go by without adding a few. Starting with something very painful looking http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn177/WrexhamMackem/Cosf...
