Re: A Cheeky Day Out

Looks like any reference to a small air display by a Mustang and whatever else has disappeared. Even the leaflet has changed. I am sure I saw a display period from about 2pm to 3pm but that too has gone from attached link. No longer entitled a 'cheeky day out.' Seems to be a fly in and a spot landin...

OLD WARDEN AIRSHOW 03-05-2009

Hi Despite the Sopwith Pup, 504K, Dakota and the Edwardian aircraft not flying due to a strong breeze and the Mustang not appearing as it was not ready, I still though it was a good show. I very much and I much appreciate the pilots and organisers for flying their planes in such dodgy winds. I did t...

Re: Typhoon 2009 Displays.

Hi

A very provisional list was published yesterday on the 'reduction in RAF displays/apearances' thread. A list was on UK Fllighlline Airshows via the link you provided this morning but for the moment the list has gone.

Re: Reduction in RAF Display Appearances 2009

Conversely the reduced RAF input will hopefully encourage airshows to pay private operators for the superb and far more diverse array of civilian aircraft available to them. Military participants are cheap and largely 'filler' items with the exception of Typhoon and Harrier. Whilst the Hawk, Tucano...

Re: Reduction in RAF Display Appearances 2009

The air show season is only days away so if the typhoon is meant to be doing 45 displays or appearances this year, where is the list? I cannot find it on the MOD web site, it is not on Flightline UK and the link on Flightline UK to the old Typhoon display web site no longer works. Instead clicking ...

Hi I add my congratulations to Kevin Wills and everybody else involved in the Dawlish show and the super efforts made by LBS and the Role Demo team. I would have loved to have seen it from above the sea. Must have been a great sight. I am sure it will be brilliant again this year, even without the D...

Re: RAF displays in 2009

Thank you for the update LBS and thank you for your great efforts. Shame about no role demo in 2009. In theory it means in terms of RAF flying displays you will see just has much in the air at Biggin Hill and Kemble as you would see in the air at an RAF base such as Cosford, Waddington and Leuchars....

Excellent set of images. The first take off pic is brilliant and the last one is at a nice angle. Taxi shots work well including the one with the C17 in it.

Thanks

Re: October airshow

I posted this in another thread but I have deleted it now, amended it and put it here. I went on the basis that the weather could possibly turn out better than forecast by a couple of hours (it has happened before at some shows). Sadly it turned out exactly as forecast in the morning. I was prepared...

Re: Shuttleworth Collection Autumn Show Cancelled

Thought about going to OW before I left home for Duxford on the possibility that the bad weather may clear Shuttleworth earlier but I was not surprised it was canceled when I checked. The ground must have been rather soft.

A shame.

Re: Weather for sunday's show

Metcheck is still saying it will be a sunny afternoon for DX on Sunday. Looking at other places on its site from London downwards that it is where it is predicting the bad weather will be. BBC forecast is predicting the bad weather to be up as far as Lincolnshire and slow to clear southwards. When y...
